Depart on an overnight flight to Bangkok.

Day 02/ Feb 22, 2014 Arrival Bangkok .

Meet & greet on arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Flower Market & Grand Palace with Klong Tour (0800-1230)

This morning, you will visit a flower market before proceeding to your Klong tour. Take exhilarating long

tail boat ride through the canals, or klongs, of Bangkok. Travel to Nonthaburi, north of the city, where

the cityscape turns into countryside and the skyscrapers give way to teak houses, noodle shops, fruit

orchards and rice fields. Stop to walk through a bustling local market and discover a riverside temple far

from the tourist crowds.

After the klong tour, visit the Grand Palace. Highlights include Wat Phra Kaew (the temple of the Emerald Buddha) inside the Grand

Palace complex. The Grand Palace was built in 1782 - and for 150 years the home of the Thai King.

Within the palace complex are several impressive buildings including Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the

Emerald Buddha), which contains the small, very famous and greatly revered Emerald

Buddha that dates back to the 14th century. The robes on the Buddha are changed with the seasons

by HM The King of Thailand, and form an important ritual in the Buddhist calendar. Thai Kings stopped

living in the palace around the turn of the twentieth century, but the palace complex is still used to

mark all kinds of other ceremonial and auspicious happenings. Transfer back to your hotel after the

tour. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Floating Market & Sampran Riverside (0700-1700)

Drive 110 km west of Bangkok and take a boat ride through the canals visiting the floating market at

Damnoen Saduak. Continue your tour to visit the picturesque Sampran Riverside and watch the well

presented Thai Village Show. You will also visit Phra Pathom Chedi, the largest pagoda in Southeast

Asia.

Cycle or be driven to Tra Que Vegetable Village, a charming little village on the edge of Hoi An known for its sweet scented & green

vegetables that spice up daily meals of the locals. Experience a day of living and working with the local farmers in this village. You will

be treated to an herbal foot massage followed by a session of cooking various local dishes.

Drive to Hue (110km) and enjoy the beautiful landscape along the way through the Hai Van Pass.

Visit the Cham Sculpture Musuem in Danang before continuing our drive to Hue for our 2 night stay.

Visit a garden house before taking a sunrise boat ride on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, a

(Forbidden Purple City) and the Emperor's private residence. Late afternoon, visit Tu Hieu Pagoda-

the oldest Pagoda in Hue, and see young monks practicing martial arts in the pagoda’s yard.

Tonight, enjoy a traditional royal tea ceremony and dinner with three generations of the formal royal

family at Mrs. Tuyet’s house and learn more about Vietnamese culture and traditional customs.
