*ESSENCE An Interdisciplinary-International Journal of Philosophy
MISSION STATEMENT Essence, Journal of Concerned Philosophers in Africa, is an inquest into the ontic fundament of social and scientific problems bedeviling mankind in Africa and in the world generally. It is the horizon and medium for investigations, interrogations, conversations and dialogue about nominal entities and concrete nature of things in search of realities in the external world; for fostering philosophical reflection and analysis of issues as a tradition in the society. It is concerned with thinking the unthought and making it accessible and transparent for social and scientific policies; Reason, which is based on logic and interpretable in many ways, engages in critical investigation, discovery and analysis of concepts, ancient and modern. The Editorial policy therefore welcomes interdisciplinary discussions, conversations, interrogations and dialogue on scientific and socio-political problems, and invites philosophically inclined writers from various disciplines, including Sciences, Law, Social sciences, History, Literature and linguistics to contribute and thereby bring their distinctive studies and methods to bear upon issues and problems that concern humankind in general and the people of Africa and the third world nations in particular.
