January 2015 inhouse house Gibraltar Partners to Increase Agent Recognition in 2015 If you’re a Gary Greene agent, you’re aware of our Gibraltar Family of Companies- Gibraltar Insurance, Gibraltar Mortgage, and Gibraltar Title- that are focused on furthering your success as a real estate agent. When you leverage our Gibraltar service partners, you gain unmatched access to aspects of a transacon that would normally add a level of uncertainty when using a vendor outside of the family. This added access results in clarity for you, and that clarity allows you to provide your clients with beer service through a more predictable and hopefully, a very pleasant real estate experience. As the percentage of agents ulizing our in-house service providers connues to grow, the Gibraltar companies believe more recognion toward our agents is needed. Thus, several iniaves have been developed to address recognion in 2015: • A quarterly award for company-wide Top Referral Agents will be presented for each Gibraltar category of insurance, mortgage, and tle. This means there are three separate awards up for grab, but one agent could technically win all three categories. • Each oce will have three plaques hanging on their walls. The oce’s monthly Top Referring Agent for the insurance, mortgage, and tle categories will earn their place on the corresponding plaque. The names will be engraved. Look for the plaques in February. • A monthly Top Referring Oce award will go to the oce with the most impressive collecon of referrals across Gibraltar Insurance, Mortgage, and Title. • Each oce has been given specic goals for Gibraltar Insurance, Mortgage, and Title business. These goals have been applied to Goal Boards and will be displayed on the oce walls for all to see. Like the plaques menoned above, there will be three Goal Boards as well (insurance, mortgage, tle.) They are designed so that progress can be tracked at the branch level. Look for the Goal Boards in February as we’re oand running in 2015 with Gibraltar One Two Three! LAKE HOUSTON: The Lake Houston Offi ce started off December by having Toni Nelson as a speaker at our Fuel Meeting to tell us all about generating listings and presenting the Gary Greene Listing Proposal and Value Proposition. She gave us an extra push of energy to blaze through the end of the year!! Our Christmas Spirits

Brunch let us turn into elves for a few hours and enjoy some yummy food while we exchanged Christmas Spirits. We played a fun trivia game that had us all singing! We were happy to have

Mark Woodroof, Marilyn Eiland, Oscar Gonzales, Dana Napier, George Cooley, and Matt Woodroof attend our offi ce Christmas Party. They really know their Christmas

jingles!!! December turned out to be a good month for the agents to spend time and relax with their families! Just to name a few agents…Cari Gonzalez, Carol Marple, Christa Hannemann, and Jennifer Hunter took the opportunity to travel and enjoy the sites outside of Houston! Dayna Simon and her son CJ headed to the

MEMORIAL: Happy New Year 2015 from the Memorial offi ce! The Memorial family had a wonderful holiday and Thanksgiving spent

together. First off, we want to thank Lou Derebery for her 20+ years of dedication to the company. Her retirement party was held on December 4, 2014 at Ciro’s Italian restaurant with her husband Bill and the Memorial offi ce, wishing her all the best on her retirement journey. The Christmas party hosted by Thalia Guderyon was an evening to remember at her beautiful home. The Memorial team spent the night with laughter, exchanging gifts, and enjoyed a delicious supper afterwards...

Congratulations to Keisha Benson-Torres, who wed on December 13, 2014. She and new husband Steve Torres were glowing at their destination wedding in Cancun Mexico Beach, Hard Rock Hotel; with guests including her handsome son Tyce Torres, family, friends including Meg Beach and Judy LaFico... Congratulations to Auri Largent on the birth of her precious baby boy... PEARLAND: We send congratulations to our Cindy Meadows, pictured at right with her new Grandbaby boy Torrin Joseph Webb!

FORT BEND (cont.): twelve months for Tessa, this family needed some good cheer. Our Fort Bend offi ce raised funds to provide Christmas to the entire family, as well as add some fi nancial aid. There were the merry elves who did shopping for the family: Pam Kelley, Charmayne Lacewell, Julie McErlane, Val Howell, and Michelle Posey. The wrapper elf was Barbara Marlin and the fabulous cooks were Marie Fuller and company, who

provided the big meal. The magic continued as “Snow White” (a friend of Sharon Uzick) appeared to the delight of the Butcher children. Nikki Owen, Beth Murany, Leesa Lawrence, and others shared in the joy as the “big delivery” was made. Brooks Simmons brought his new puppy to

add to the magic. Nikki took several minutes to express her gratitude and the family’s thoughts at our fi rst meeting of the new year. It is a wonderful family that can share in times of hardship and joy. Thank you, Nikki, for building this family up... On another note, Ashley Kunco’s son Vincent turned one on January 14th. Happy Birthday

Vince... Kharla Sowells earned her Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation... Our Val Howell has been accepted through the required application process for the 2015 Class of Sugar Land 101. Sugar Land is again offering residents a great opportunity to learn, serve and lead the city. The 10 week 2015 Spring program began January 15th and provides an in-depth look at how our city runs. Congrats to both women... The new Career Development agents took Nikki Owen and Career Development Coach Barbara Marlin to a thank you lunch at the

new Quail Valley restaurant.. Verrrrrry nice! Finally, 2015 is here with a bang as we have been looking at fi fty shades of grey with the weather... Thank goodness for the bright spots that appear in our daily lives and for each other. Cheerios!

GALVESTON: The Galveston agents and staff celebrated Christmas (and a great year) at Salsa’s on the Seawall in December. Mark and Marilyn were also here for the fun, and we look forward to an awesome 2015!

INNER LOOP: Congratulations to Marette Gillen and her husband who are the proud parents of their fi rst child, a baby girl born December 9th at St. Luke’s Hospital. Eliza Catherine arrived prematurely and weighed 1 pound, 13 ounces. Marette is staying at the hospital with her and it will be a joyful day when Eliza can go home... Laura and Ces Guerra visited Park City, Utah and had fun skiing at the Deer Valley Resort. While in the area they also visited their trekking guide, Dean Cardinale, at Snowbird, Utah near Salt Lake... Diane Giagnacovo and her

family went on a trolley to see the Christmas lights in Pecan Grove. Diane did this as a child and had great fun taking her son Daniel. It was very cold but little Daniel was amazed by all the Christmas decorations. They left the cold Texas weather for the warm temps in Florida and spent the rest of the year at Marco Island, FL. They enjoyed the pool, many sunsets

at the beach, bike riding, volleyball, grilling, parasailing, playing games, and even got to enjoy New Year’s fi reworks on a sailboat! It was a wonderful vacation and has truly become an annual holiday tradition.... Randall Custer enjoyed the 2014 Baylor Bear football season by attending home games at the newly anointed McClane Stadium in Waco. He also met Bruiser Bear at the Toyota Center in downtown Houston to celebrate the back to back Big 12 Conference Football Champions. SIC’EM BEARS! Pam Bankerd and family went on their annual Christmas outing to a beautiful 700 acre ranch just outside of Goliad, TX. They roamed all over the 700 acres in a golf cart and enjoyed the donkeys, cows, cat and dog. The highest point was 250 feet above sea level complete with a large star gazing deck where they watched the stars at night. The donkeys were very friendly and would come up to be fed carrots and apples. And speaking of feeding, the family enjoyed their food and beverages as well as singing and playing board games by the fi re pit at night. They went to Goliad one day and did a little shopping and visited two of the missions that played a big role in our Texas Independence. All in all, a wonderful time was had by all. Sharon Seligman was the lucky winner of a iPad Mini from Fox Inspections. She provided feedback after an inspection and was entered into a quarterly drawing and was the lucky winner. Congratulations! Josie and Charles Wheeler

were in Colorado Springs where they spent the holidays and visited his sister and brother-in-law. It was their fi rst holiday season in their new house and they hosted a nice family get together for fi fteen family members. Charles did an outgoing referral for their home. While there they went to Royal Gorge and Pike’s Peak and had a wonderful time... Jonathan Correia and his signifi cant other went to celebrate the New Year in New Orleans. This

the Pet Committee that she chairs. The pets were treated to a pic with Santa- They need to celebrate the holidays too. Vanessa Muse also chaired a neighborhood holiday event. Not only did the children get pics with Santa, but they were provided with a movie, a train ride and craft activities. Also, the attendee provided coats for those in need. Esy Benedict, Jaime Berlin and Lynn Sanders also

participated in a Santa event in their neighborhood... Michele Miller always wears the color green to a closing. This year, her family gave her green jewelry, green clothes, green everything! She thinks they are expecting big things from her this year, and knowing Michele, she won’t disappoint... We have such a generous team. Every year, we collect new toys to give disadvantaged children in Northwest Houston. This year, Linda Beck headed the effort and we collected almost 30 bags full of toys... We love to party, so we have not one, but two holiday events! Sharon Teusink hosted a cocktail party in her home... It was fun to meet the spouses of the agents- we do know real estate is always a family affair... We also had our annual “chinese” gift exchange. Its always interesting seeing grown adults “fi ghting” over $15 items! Who knew a hat with reindeer ears would be in such demand? Rose Marie Bredeson’s donation of the picture she painted at one of her art classes was the hit of the evening. We think we might see it again next year in the exchange... Linda Beck and hubby are heading to the Caribbean for their anniversary... Iona Alphonso took a trip of a lifetime. She was able to tour the Holy Land with her church members. she has stunning pics and a narrative she is willing to share. If you are thinking of going, you need to contact Iona. Congratulations to Cindy White, who won the outgoing referral award for the company! She recently moved to our offi ce from another broker and is beginning her career here with a bang- Actually, when she was unpacking her car in the parking lot to move in, someone stole her car! Despite this setback, we are happy she is now settled in with us and having a better experience... What a welcome gift to our company- Brian Schwartz was Best Man at his brothers wedding over the holidays. With three brothers he is happy to welcome a new sister (in law) to the family... The Verardo’s daughter also got married over the holidays. Not only did Gerry and Carol host out of town visitors and put on a wedding, they had four closings and were showing homes on Christmas Eve! Everyone knows that’s what happens in real estate- If your business is slow, plan a trip and the clients will come out of the woodwork... We are happy to welcome a new assistant for Stacy Gross with Gibraltar Mortgage. Lesley Maloney is going to help keep Stacy number one loan offi cer for Gibraltar! Congrats to our 2014 award winners- Wendy Roloff is our top producer in volume and Top Listing leader. Susan Matson is our top Sales agent and Top Producer for units and the Wente-Ratchford team is top team in units... We started off the new year with Sharon Teusink hosting a Kick-off breakfast at Raveneaux Country Club. With 110 in attendance, Mark and Marilyn inspired us with great information to plan our new year! We are all looking forward to a great 2015!

CYPRESS, BRIDGELAND & WALLER: Tracy Snyder has been recovering after a liver transplant for a while now and is fi nally on the path to wellness. Here is a quote from her Facebook page regarding her year: “What a year of highs and lows. If 2014 were a person, I’d likely sue for pain, suffering, mental anguish and lost wages. However, I also learned how strong my family is, and how much we love each other, how amazing my marriage is, and a renewal of vows (I am still totally smitten.) I saw friendships taken to a new level of truth, commitment and loyalty. Thank you all for meals, rides, prayers, company, care, and love. I am so thankful to so many, and pray that I become the wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and parishioner that you all deserve. Here’s to 2015!” Salute, Tracy, and we all wish you the very best... Rich Guderyon and

family, on vacation, found themselves in the middle of a Green Bay Packers game celebration. We all know he was in heaven. The Cypress offi ce stands by our manager, since in all fairness his team was one of the last team standing. (We understand the effects of being a Cheesehead). And for the remaining football season we stand united with

him and we say “GO GREEN BAY! BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR!” We have a weekly ritual of going to Romano’s Mexican Restaurant for our Taco Tuesday after our offi ce meeting and we review. It is a great

time for learning, chatting, sharing info and experience. Lots of good food and fun for all. Finally, Shirley Williams is shown having lunch with her boys, celebrating son Ethan’s 19th Birthday!

FORT BEND: We all have our holiday wish list, but nothing could have added to the spirit more than our opportunity to be part of the Butcher Christmas! Tracy Butcher has been dealing with cancer and her treatment, and on top of that Her nine year old daughter, Tessa, also was diagnosed with cancer and is in a wheelchair. With prospect of chemo fi ve days a month for next...

BAY AREA: Welcome to our newest agents: Ann Blanchard, David (DJ) Johnson, Annette Caudle, Celeste Lara. We are so glad to have you as part of our team! We congratulate Shelia Mathisen’s granddaughter Joelie on earning two ribbons in the Houston All Arabian Horse Show, riding a horse named “Harley”! Shelia is an accomplished artist currently on exhibit at the Freeman Library through February 26th. Her talents are endless and she has been commissioned to create specifi c artworks... Felicity and Norman

Frenk covered almost 2800 miles on vacation mid-December, making a stop at the Florida Gulf Coast, Disneyworld, Miami and Mississippi. While in Key West, they met a gentleman who appeared on an episode of Extreme RV neighboring two sites over from them, “glamping” in his $2.2M RV. Norman recalls

watching that episode sometime back in October. It’s a small world after all- it turns out he is from Friendswood too! Even with all these fun times they still manage to be top performers in our branch...Lots of graduations at the end of 2014: Rudy and Joyce Adamiak’s two children, Matt and Emily, graduated from UT, Matt with a B.S. in Communication and

Emily with a B.S. in Nursing. Emily already has a job at Memorial Hermann’s Labor and Delivery. What an accomplishment for kids and parents too! Nancy Suarez’s daughter, Stephanie, graduated from UT with a B.A. in Sociology and a concentration in Spanish...Pamela Vincent’s son Bryce announced his upcoming nuptials on January 31st in Wimberly... Michael and Libby Jones’ daughter Michelle got engaged over the holidays and mother-of-the-bride is busy planning for the upcoming November nuptials that are yet to be fi nalized... Just a tidbit from the infamous Pampolinas- Damon, Phil and Ginger Pampolina’s son, is getting a part in the hit TV series Nashville. Not sure of the air time and may be a small part but congratulations, we will be watching for that fabulous appearance. Damon is scheduled to do a corporate event at the beginning of March in Las Vegas as PRP Entertaiment opens for Steven Tyler.....yes, the WHOLE family will be attending that event! PRP has always been a big part of our Sunshine Kid’s Benefi ts. Thanks Phil! Michael and Tami Gatewood’s family recently adopted a beautiful little girl, Jehzriel (Jezzy) Terah Gatewood. The 4th grader turned 9 in August and has 3 brothers in her new loving home. So happy for you Tami! What a lucky little girl! Linda Fee is a woman on the go! Daughter

Chantelle and her husband Tripp are proud parents of another baby girl. Three-year-old sister Kennedy welcomes her baby sister... Kari Madeleine Chandler. Grandma Linda stayed with her two weeks, came home and took off to Las Vegas for a week; home for Christmas then off to Montana to visit her 94-year-old mother. Daughter Danielle has been busy handling their real estate business in mom’s absence. Danielle’s husband Randy ran his

fi rst half marathon in the Chevron Marathon... Billie Weber welcomed a new Great-Grandbaby, Brinley... what a blessing! Then she was off for a week-long trip to Tennessee to enjoy her new Coach RV. This was their inaugural trip. What a BLOWOUT it was... All enjoyed lots of fun visiting friends and family. Too bad they did not get to take Brinley; but maybe next year! Don and Debra Blenderman took their annual Christmas/New Year’s trip along California’s coast

and the Russian River Valley. They enjoyed hiking, wineries and a relaxing time with friends... not necessarily in that order... Sometimes ya gotta think outside the box when marketing our listings. The Ferrari Club – Houston Chapter enjoyed their monthly brunch at Kelly Paul’s waterfront listing in Seabrook. Patricia ‘Patsy’ Richard, Social Director of the club, hosted 30+ members to a catered brunch overlooking Taylor Lake. Great people, good conversation and plenty of food and wine was enjoyed by all, plus a great marketing idea from our ladies! Our offi ce presented G.W. Bailey and The Sunshine Kids with our highest donation to date, $92,500. (See the front page photo) G.W. was grateful for all we do for the kids. Our offi ce has donated almost $500,000 to The Sunshine Kids...wow! Bay Area is big on giving back! Mike Parker and others delivered stuffed animals to children and elderly in our local hospitals. Many contributed to Bay Area Turning Point’s milk project. Bay Area Turning Point provides

a safe haven for abused women and children. We didn’t want to leave out our furry friends, so donations were also made to Second Chance Pets - a local non-profi t NO-KILL foster program serving the Bay Area. Faith Gosch is packing for her upcoming trip to Maui, a gift from son, Jimmy. Wow, that’s a nice surprise. We look forward to a healthy and prosperous 2015 for all.

CHAMPIONS: Champions agents had a busy holiday season. The offi ce production was up 25 percent over last December and the agents managed to also spend some time enjoying the holidays... Ray Jones was Santa and Pam Saxton an elf... What we will do to drum up business! Susan Matson had an event in her neighborhood sponsored by

Susan Matson had an event in her neighborhood sponsored by

included four days of French, Italian & Creole culinary adventures. They also rabble roused with the Sugar Bowl participants, babbled with the Bourbon Street enthusiasts and left the casino with just enough dignity...

This

inhousehouseGibraltar Partners to Increase Agent Recognition in 2015If you’re a Gary Greene agent, you’re aware of our Gibraltar Family of Companies- Gibraltar Insurance, Gibraltar Mortgage, and Gibraltar Title- that are focused on furthering your success as a real estate agent. When you leverage our Gibraltar service partners, you gain unmatched access to aspects of a transacti on that would normally add a level of uncertainty when using a vendor outside of the family. This added access results in clarity for you, and that clarity allows you to provide your clients with bett er service through a more predictable and hopefully, a very pleasant real estate experience. As the percentage of agents uti lizing our in-house service providers conti nues to grow, the Gibraltar companies believe more recogniti on toward our agents is needed. Thus, several initi ati ves have been developed to address recogniti on in 2015:

• A quarterly award for company-wide Top ReferralAgents will be presented for each Gibraltar category ofinsurance, mortgage, and ti tle. This means there arethree separate awards up for grab, but one agent could

technically win all three categories.

• Each offi ce will have three plaqueshanging on their walls. The

offi ce’s monthly Top Referring Agent for the insurance,

mortgage, and ti tle categories will earn their place on the corresponding plaque. The names will be engraved. Look for the plaques in February.• A monthly Top Referring Offi ce award will go to the offi cewith the most impressive collecti on of referrals acrossGibraltar Insurance, Mortgage, and Title.• Each offi ce has been given specifi c goals for GibraltarInsurance, Mortgage, and Title business. These goals havebeen applied to Goal Boards and will be displayed on theoffi ce walls for all to see. Like the plaques menti onedabove, there will be three Goal Boards as well (insurance, mortgage, ti tle.)

They are designed so that progress can be tracked at the branch level. Look for the Goal Boards in February as we’re off and running in 2015 with Gibraltar One Two Three!
