Conditions of admission to this training course

> a certificate or diploma (Swiss "maturité") of secondary education or vocational training or equivalent> a good standard of instrumental playing (such as might be expected after at least 10 years study). Piano preferred.> An aptitude for movement and an interest in improvisation

We offer you:

There are a thousand and one ways of making music – why would there be only one way of teaching it ?During your training you will attend courses in :

> rhythmics: connects natural movement, musical rhythm and the student’s capacity for adaptation, response and expression.> solfege : improves aural perception, solmisation, sight-reading and musical literacy and inner hearing through techniques specific to the method;> instrumental improvisation : develops the knowledge of music and the imagination in instrumental performance ; playing for movement and vice versa> playing the piano : study and practice of the baroque, classical, romantic, modern and contemporary repertoire; technique and interpretation; chamber music;> movement and body awareness : study of movement techniques and development of body consciousness and expression> creative experimentation : workshops exploring music/movement relationships, the creative process and the development of autonomy; composition and performance of danced theatre pieces and musical choreographies> pedagogy (teaching principles and techniques) : practical apprenticeship through classwork with children and adolescents and teaching professional students. Seminars in the fundamentals of Dalcroze theory and application.

Not to mention over a dozen supplementary courses to expand your competence and know-how.

> The final diploma

An international HEM ("Hautes Ecoles de Musique") teaching diploma, (track 1), will be awarded upon conclusion of your four-year course.
