Authors should prepare their manuscripts submitted to the journalexactlyaccording to the instructionsgivenhere.Manuscriptswhichdonotfollowtheformatandstyleofthejournalmaybereturnedtotheauthorsforrevisionorrejected.Thejournalreservestherighttomakeany further formal changes and language corrections necessaryin amanuscript accepted for publication so that it conforms to theformatting requirementsof the journal.Manuscriptsandfiguresarenotreturnedtotheauthors,notevenuponrejectionofthepaper
The Editorial Process
A manuscript will be reviewed for possible publication with theunderstandingthatitisbeingsubmittedtoJournalofYoungPharmacistsalone at that point in time and has not been published anywhere,simultaneously submitted, or already accepted for publicationelsewhere. The journal expects that authors would authorize oneofthemtocorrespondwiththeJournalforallmattersrelatedtothemanuscript. All manuscripts received are duly acknowledged. Onsubmission, editors review all submitted manuscripts initially forsuitability for formal review.Manuscriptswith insufficient originality,seriousscientificortechnicalflaws,orlackofasignificantmessageare rejectedbeforeproceeding for formalpeer-review.ManuscriptsthatareunlikelytobeofinteresttotheJournalofYoungPharmacistsreadersarealsoliabletoberejectedatthisstageitself.
Manuscripts that are found suitable for publication in Journal ofYoungPharmacistsaresenttotwoormoreexpertreviewers.Duringsubmission,thecontributorisrequestedtoprovidenamesoftwoorthreequalifiedreviewerswhohavehadexperienceinthesubjectofthesubmittedmanuscript,but this isnotmandatory.The reviewersshouldnotbeaffiliatedwiththesameinstitutesasthecontributor/s.However,theselectionofthesereviewersisatthesolediscretionoftheeditor.Thejournalfollowsadouble-blindreviewprocess,whereinthereviewersandauthorsareunawareofeachother’sidentity.Everymanuscriptisalsoassignedtoamemberoftheeditorialteam,whobasedonthecommentsfromthereviewerstakesafinaldecisiononthemanuscript.Thecommentsandsuggestions(acceptance/rejection/amendments inmanuscript) received from reviewersareconveyedto thecorrespondingauthor. If required, theauthor is requested toprovideapointbypointresponsetoreviewers’commentsandsubmita revised version of the manuscript. This process is repeated tillreviewersandeditorsaresatisfiedwiththemanuscript.
Manuscripts accepted for publicationare copyedited for grammar,punctuation, print style, and format. Page proofs are sent to thecorresponding author. The corresponding author is expected toreturnthecorrectedproofswithinthreedays.Itmaynotbepossibletoincorporatecorrectionsreceivedafterthatperiod.Thewholeprocessof submission of themanuscript to final decision and sending andreceivingproofs iscompletedonline.Toachieve fasterandgreaterdissemination of knowledge and information, the journal publishesarticlesonlineas‘AheadofPrint’immediatelyonacceptance.
Authorship criteria
Authorshipcreditshouldbebasedonlyonsubstantialcontributionstoeachofthethreecomponentsmentionedbelow:1. Conceptanddesignofstudyoracquisitionofdataoranalysisand
interpretationofdata;2. Draftingthearticleorrevisingitcriticallyforimportantintellectual
content;and3. Finalapprovaloftheversiontobepublished.
Participationsolely in theacquisitionof fundingor thecollectionofdatadoesnotjustifyauthorship.Generalsupervisionoftheresearchgroup isnotsufficient forauthorship.Eachcontributorshouldhaveparticipated sufficiently in thework to take public responsibility forappropriateportionsof thecontentof themanuscript.Theorderofnamingthecontributorsshouldbebasedontherelativecontributionofthecontributortowardsthestudyandwritingthemanuscript.Oncesubmitted the order cannot be changedwithoutwritten consent ofall the contributors. The journal prescribes amaximum number ofauthorsformanuscriptsdependinguponthetypeofmanuscript, itsscopeandnumberof institutions involved (vide infra).Theauthorsshouldprovideajustification,ifthenumberofauthorsexceedstheselimits.

Contribution Details
Contributors should provide a description of contributions made byeachof themtowards themanuscript.Descriptionshouldbedividedin following categories, as applicable: concept, design, definition ofintellectual content, literature search, clinical studies, experimentalstudies,dataacquisition,dataanalysis,statisticalanalysis,manuscriptpreparation, manuscript editing and manuscript review. Authors'contributionswillbeprintedalongwiththearticle.Oneormoreauthorshouldtakeresponsibilityfortheintegrityoftheworkasawholefrominceptiontopublishedarticleandshouldbedesignatedas'guarantor'.
Conflicts of Interest/ Competing Interests
Allauthorsofmustdiscloseanyandallconflictsofinteresttheymayhavewithpublicationofthemanuscriptoraninstitutionorproductthatismentionedinthemanuscriptand/orisimportanttotheoutcomeofthestudypresented.Authorsshouldalsodiscloseconflictofinterestwithproductsthatcompetewiththosementionedintheirmanuscript.

Contributions and Manuscripts must be written in Englishandsubmittedexclusively toJYP.Manuscriptsmustbe typewritten(double-spaced)withliberalmarginsandspaceatthetopandbottomofthepage.

IntroductionDescriptionof theresearcharea,pertinentbackground information,and the hypotheses tested in the study should be included underthis section. The introduction should provide sufficient backgroundinformationsuch thata scientifically literate reader canunderstandand appreciate the experiments to be described. The introductionMUST include in-text citations including references to pertinentreviews and primary scientific literature. The specific aims of theproject should be identified along with a rationale for the specificexperimentsandotherworkperformed.

Tables and FiguresTablesEachtablemuststartonaseparatesheet.TheyshouldbenumberedwithRomannumeralsaccording to their sequence in the text, andhaveashort self-explanatoryheading.UseSIunits.Tablesshouldinclude vertical rules, but horizontal rules should separate columnheadings from the content.Authors should keep inmind the pagelayoutofthejournalwhendesigningtables.Tablesthatfitontooneprintedpagearepreferred.Detailedexplanationsofsymbols,units,andabbreviationsshouldfollowbelowthetable.
IllustrationsFigures for final production should be submitted as electronic filesandhardcopysothattheeditorialofficecanensurethattheoutputofelectronicfilesmatchesthehardcopy.Pleasepayparticularattentionto the guidelines below. The editorial office cannot undertakepreparationofmanuscriptsandillustrationsnotconformingtojournalstyle.Manuscriptsofinsufficientqualitywillbereturnedimmediatelywithoutrefereeing.Ahighstandardofillustration(bothlineandphoto)isaneditorialpriority.Allillustrationsshouldbepreparedforprintingtofit80x240mm(columnwidth)or169mmbyupto240mm(fullpage) size. It ispreferred that the full-page length isnotusedandthatauthorskeepinmindthatthecaptionwillbeplacedunderneaththefigure.Intheeventthatfull-pagelengthisnecessaryforplates,captionswillhave toappearonadjacentpages.Figure(s)mustbenumbered consecutively in the text.
