General
Function
The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach
full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate
in research or creative activities.

Primary
Duties
1. Teach undergraduate courses in learning processes and experimental
psychology.
2. Provides academic advisement for students.
3. Serves on departmental, college, and University committees.
4. Facilitates a learning environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for,
and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or
backgrounds.
5. Contributes to the overall success of the Department of Psychology by
performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Acceptable
Qualifications
An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain
disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A
willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required.
The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with
those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
Additional
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Doctoral or Master’s degree in Psychology.
Skills: A willingness to contribute to the online teaching program.
The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with
those of other cultures is required.

General
Function
The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach
full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate
in research or creative activities.
Description of
Primary
Duties
The applicant will have a 50% teaching appointment and a 50% secondary
appointment as the Assistant Director of the Learning Diagnostic Clinic
(LDC). The LDC conducts evaluations for learning disabilities, ADHD, and
other psychological issues which affect learning.
1. Teaches undergraduate psychology classes.
2. Provides academic advisement for students.
3. Conducts and supervises graduate students conducting psychological and
psycho-educational evaluations.
4. Serves on departmental, college, and University committees.
5. Responsible for program development.
6. Facilitates a learning environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for,
and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or
backgrounds.
7. Contributes to the overall success of the Department of Psychology and
Learning Diagnostic Clinic by performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education/Experience: A doctorate from a program accredited by the American
Psychological Association (APA), and internship in clinical, counseling, or
educational/school psychology. Teaching experience is required.
Skills: The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage
with those of other cultures is required.
Licensure: Must have or be eligible to obtain licensure as a psychologist in the
state of Missouri and obtain licensure within one year of employment.
