Using an open group in Facebook to generate ideas on MUET speaking topics: A case study.(MASTERS)
The open group allows for the application of socio-constructivist principles of teaching and learning that have positive and far-reaching pedagogical implications. Students also improved in their language skills.

Facebook encouragedstudents to interact with their peers and discuss the information and content outside lecture hours. These discussions eventually contributed to improved students’ performances.

Initial findings:Extensive reading in Facebookdid help the students to improve their overall proficiency in English. Students acknowledged that extensive reading also enhanced their writing and communication skills.
