In this verse, there are four important elements in knowledge which are:• Reading• Teaching• Writing• Knowledge

The common point among Muslim scholars who are concerned with Islamization of knowledge/Islamic methodology is the incorporation of Revelation into different field of research

Reflect the Islamic objectives and valuesSet our norms/standards/models which are

derived from the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the practice of the early Muslim society

ISLAMIC METHODOLOGY SHOULD:Incorporate revelation as a source of

knowledge and give it its due role in guiding human in quiry of knowledge.

Work under the direction so four world view (the origin & nature of man and universe, the purpose of their creation, and their destiny).

THE DEFINITION OFREVEALED KNOWLEDGE

AND HUMAN KNOWLEDGERevealed knowledge1. The revelation knowledge from Allah S.W.T2. Al Quran and Al Hadith3. Fardhu Ain or Naqliah Knowledge

knowledge should be integrated.Integration will produce : ‘Islamized knowledge’. Integration of revealed and human knowledge.Bridging the gap between the two systems of

knowledge.

THE NEEDS IN INTEGRATING THE KNOWLEDGE

To terminate the dualism and secularism element in knowledgeThe knowledge and education should always

based on revealed knowledge and rules by ‘aqidah’

To return the balance to the knowledge nature itself

To return the knowledge concept to based on ‘tauhid’

To return the glory of the Islamic history in knowledge integration

INTEGRATING THE KNOWLEDGEAl-Attas conclude that both knowledge is

united because:1. The first Knowledge shows the purpose

towards the soul and self in human life.2. The first knowledge is the bottom-line of the

second knowledge.3. If the knowledge is not integrated, the second

knowledge will never be the guidance and in the human life.

Abdul Halim El-Muhammady explains that both knowledge should be practice together as one.

Fardhu Ain is based on the perfectness of Fardhu Kifayah.

Tajul Ariffin Noordin (1998) said that the integrated knowledge is very important in the education system

Human behavior as the most important purpose.

The purpose is to produce the student with balance knowledge intellectually, emotionally, physically and soul.

THE METHODS IN INTEGRATING THE KNOWLEDGE

Basic development in knowledge epestimology

1. Should be free and different from secular and dualism concept.

2. Islam sees all knowledge come from Allah, but west sees knowledge is separate from religion.

3. Tauhid is the nucleus in the knowledge development.

4. Tauhid will differentiate between truth and falseness .

Education institution development1. Combine two education systemsi. -Unite the traditional knowledge and

modern.ii. -modern the traditional system and

islamize the modern system.

2. Islamisation curriculumiii. Al Faruqi and muslim scholars build the

Institute of Islamic Thought (IITH) in Virginia, USA.

iv. Research and design the islamic education syllabus.

3. Planting the Islamic vision in teachers

i. Master the modern knowledge.ii. Master the heritage and Islamic civilization.iii. Build the Muslim revel in facing the modern

knowledge.iv. Search the creative synthesis between

heritage and modern knowledge.v. Launch the Islamic thought based on

faithfulness towards Allah S.W.T.

Higher education development1. Every student should master both

knowledge field.2. Fardhu ain and fardhu kifayah.3. If the person had mastered the religion

knowledge, he or she should also master other field such as economy or agriculture.

4. Fardhu ain is the basic for the fardhu kifayah knowledge.

CONCLUSSION1. We should know the hierarchy and the

sequence of knowledge in Islam. Fardhu Ain (center) and Fardhu Kifayah.

2. It is required to unite the knowledge to:i. Return the knowledge unity.ii. Terminate the knowledge separation.iii. Return the glory of Muslim civilization.iv. Return the knowledge basic: the one and only

path.

3. The method that proposed by the Muslim scholars should be execute thoroughly.
