Nagarajan Sridharan has gained vast experience of over 30 yearsin the Indian Appliances and Air Conditioning & RefrigerationIndustry holding several portfolios and over 6 years internationalexposure in Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia in HVAC&R portfoliosand Building Products.

In his current capacity as CEO & Director Marketing for FeddersLloyd Corporation Limited, he has accumulated over 7 years ofexperience on Defence, Railways ,and Telecom segments. Hiswork has led to direct and successful implementation ofenvironmental control and auxiliary power support capabilitiesin large numbers across Indian Army vehicle fleets.

In his presentation, Mr. Sridharan is sharing his experience as apart of Fedders Lloyd Corporation Ltd, INDIA , in respect ofinnovative work carried out to provide Environmental controland Auxillary power support for the BMP 2/2k variants , InfantryCombat Vehicles , Ambulance, AERV, Missile LaunchingVehicles, Tracked and Wheeled , Mobile Radar vehicles, MBTversions, and MPVs.

Christian NørkjærBattle Management Systems ProductManagerSystematic

Christian Nørkjær holds a Master’s degree in English BusinessLanguage alongside his 30+ years’ experience as an officer inthe Royal Danish Army. Christian Nørkjær has served mainly asreconnaissance and mechanized infantry commander fromsquad commander to acting battalion commander. During hisservice Christian Nørkjær has trained more than 5,000 soldiersfor service in the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan and has servedin combat unit in the Balkans and Iraq. Christian Nørkjær is stillactive in the military reserve and holds the rank of major.

Christian Nørkjær joined Systematic in 2006 and as ProductManager for Battle Management Systems, he ensures theSystematic software solutions are suited to the rough and harshconditions at the frontline.

Cobus van der MerweExecutive Manager, Land SystemsSaab Group

Cobus van der Merwe has extensive experience of Armour Usersystems and related technologies stemming from 26 yearsmilitary service that included acquisition and technologyprogram management. Some of his appointments were ArmourR&D Wing commander, PM for the ROOIKAT Wheeled CombatVehicle program, PM for SA Army Vehicle Simulators and SeniorStaff Officer Armour R&D for the South African Army. Duringthe last 5 years of his military career, he managed SA Armyvehicle technology programs including active protection, electricdrive vehicles and signature management.

He is currently employed at Saab where he has a broadbackground on Research and Development, productmanagement, marketing and business development. Hiscurrent position includes international business development forActive protection solutions. He is regarded as an expert in thefield of vehicle protection and is a frequent speaker atinternational events on survivability related subjects. In 2010 hewon the Saab Corporate Innovator of the Year Award.

Jeff MalacarneTechnical DirectorBarco Defense & Aerospace

As Technical Director, Jeff Malacarne focuses on defining the visualcomputing product strategy for the Barco Defense organization. Sincejoining Barco in 1992, Jeff has led the development of graphics and videoprocessing products for air traffic control, naval, airborne, and groundvehicle systems. During this time, his team developed intelligent displayequipment with advanced visualization processing capabilities for the FCSNLOS-C program.

Prior to joining Barco, Jeff worked at Hughes Aircraft Co. developingcomputer graphics technology for mission critical systems and holds 8related patents. He received a BSEE from SUNY at Buffalo and an MS inComputer Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Colonel Peter Flach MBEMilitary Liaison director for Advanced Programmesand Technology General Dynamics

Peter Flach was educated at Harrow and Sandhurst. He joined the RoyalHussars, an Armoured Regiment, in 1973. He served in Germany andNorthern Ireland until 1979, when he was posted to Catterick, as theRegimental Signals Officer. In his extensive career within the Army, heserved in roles including Regiment Operations Officer, OC RAC Sales Teamof the Armoured Trials Development Unit, Commander of a Challenger 1Squadron in Northern Ireland, SO2(W) of Army Operational Requirements,Chief Instructor in Armoured Vehicle Technology at Shrivenham, DeputyProject Manager MRAV and regional manager of US, Canada, France,Germany, Benelux, UN and NATO for the Defence Export SupportOrganisation (DESO).

Within this career he has conducted numerous trials of armoured vehiclesin the UK and overseas, including major trials of Challenger and Warrior inAbu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, CVR(T) in Egypt and Jordan, and Vickers Mk3in Thailand, as well as requirements setting for tank procurement andresearch programmes including the Challenger 2 programme, Future Tank,Special Armour, 140mm, Electromagnetic and Electrothermal Gun, andproject managed the UK’s TRACER programme to procure areconnaissance vehicle.

In Jan 2005 he left the Army to join General Dynamics United KingdomLimited as the Military Liaison Manager and stayed with GD until May 2009when he gave up his job to look after his terminally ill wife. He worked forCranfield University at the Defence Academy, as Director BusinessDevelopment in the Department of Engineering Systems and Management,from October 2009 until December 2010; and he then rejoined GeneralDynamics United Kingdom Limited, where he is Military Liaison Director forAdvanced Programmes and Technology.

Mr. Johan Runesson Managing DirectorStrömsholmen AB

Johan Runesson is Managing Director for Strömsholmen AB which is a partof Barnes Group Inc. Strömsholmen develops, sells and produces gas-hydraulic suspension for heavy duty off-highway vehicles. The products aresold under the brand name KALLER. In addition to the internally developedsuspension products Strömsholmen recently bought the gas-hydraulicsuspension product line from Curtis Wright. The “hydrops” developed byCurtis Wright is now an integral part of Strömsholmen product offering.

Mr. Runesson holds a M. Sc in Mechanical engineering from the Universityof Linköping, Sweden. Began working at Strömsholmen in 1991 and washead of the R&D department from 1994 until 2006 when he took up therole of Managing Director for the company.
