Tuesday 5 May 2015 INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS AND ASSESSMENT FOR SCHOOLS (ICAS) Stage 2 Dear Parents and Carers, The students of Hurstville Public School have an opportunity to participate in the International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS). Students receive a comprehensive report and certificate to recognise their achievement. ICAS is a 30-60 minute supervised in-school test. For more information about ICAS go to www.eaa.unsw.edu.au In 2015, the school will be participating in the English and Mathematics competitions as the most relevant tests for our students and to minimise interruptions to class learning time taken by this optional activity. 2015 SITTING DATES SUBJECT DATE English Tuesday, 28 July 2015 Mathematics Tuesday, 11 August 2015 The competitions are open to all students from Year 3 to Year 6. The total entry price for the two competitions is $16.00. Full payment is to be made by Thursday, 25 June 2015. No payments will be accepted after this date. All money needs to be placed in an envelope clearly labeled with student’s whole name and class. Money will ONLY be collected by Mrs Pollard (Year 3) or Mrs McCarthy (Year 4) during morning assembly from Monday to Thursday. No money is to be paid directly to the front office.
