CoimbatoreCoimbatore is the second largest city in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative headquarters of the Coimbatore District and a major textile and engineering hub of South India. It is referred to as “the Manchester of South India” due to the presence of a flourishing textile industry. It is a heavily industrialised city with textile factories, engineering firms, automobile parts manufacturers, health care facilities and technical educational institutions. The hill stations of Ooty, Coonoor and Valparai are close to the city making it a good tourist attraction throughout the year.

Reaching CoimbatoreThe Coimbatore airport, 5 km from PSGCT, caters to domestic flights to all the major Indian cities and international flights to Sharjah and Singapore. Coimbatore is also well connected to all major Indian cities by Train.

OotyPopularly known as ‘Queen of Hill Stations’, Ooty is located in the Blue Mountains of the Western Ghats and draws a large number of tourists every year. Lofty mountains, great lakes, dense forests, sprawling grasslands, miles of tea gardens and eucalyptus trees greet the visitors en route to Ooty. The hill station itself is a land of picturesque picnic spots.

Mudumalai–Bandipur Wildlife SanctuaryThe Mudumalai sanctuary lies on the northern and north-western side of the Nilgiri (Blue Mountains), about 80 km north-west of Coimbatore. This 321-sq-kms wide sanctuary has various mixtures of flat land, open grassland, swamp and valleys. Apart from the wide range of animal and bird life, the rich fauna of this sanctuary has made Mudumalai very popular with wildlife enthusiast. Bandipur Wildlife sanctuary forms the connecting link between the Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary in Tamilnadu and the Wayanad wildlife sanctuary in Kerala.

Kumarakom, KeralaKerala is known for its panoramic backwater stretches, lush green paddy fields, highlands and beaches. Kumarakom is a serenely beautiful and scenic backwater destination, a charming peninsula jutting into the ever-effervescent Vembanad Lake that is dotted with plenty of traditional race boats and canoes, leaving a scene that is immensely pleasing to the eye.
