Remember you will need to buy a number of tools online to help you set up your business. Your Online Business needs a Business Name, not necessarily a limited company name, just a registered business name will do.

2. Choose Your Niche:

Think of something you like doing, something you enjoy, something you know a lot about perhaps you’re an expert at doing something like gardening, pets, DIY, running, swimming and so on.

3. Choose a Domain Name and a Hosting Account:

Domain Names: As you are venturing into the Internet Online world you will need to get a domain name. This domain name needs to reflect Keywords that people will use in their searches. So a Keyword Rich Domain will be good to use but this domain must also reflect your chosen Niche. You can also choose your own name for your domain name as this will allow you to use your site to promote more than one Niche.

Hosting Account: Your hosting account is a place, a server, another computer where the files that make up your website will be stored (Hosted) 24/7 and 365 days a year. This server is permanently on and your website can be accessed anywhere, by anyone who has an internet connection. The reason why you host your website on these servers is that most people can’t do this on their own computers it’s too expensive so they pay a monthly fee to a hosting company to do it for them. You need to choose a package to suit your budget and your businesses long or short term goals.

4. Build a Website:

Once you've taken the first three steps, it's time to build a website. Now you can create a straight forward website with a number of pages usually designed and developed by a website designer. You can hire a website design and developer however, these sites generally don’t have an easy way of accessing the content to change it daily unless you have commissioned a CMS website which is a Content Managed System site.

CMS enabled websites allow you to change and manage your content both text and imagery and these are usually expensive and the systems out there can be difficult to use. It can be like trying to learn a new software program just to figure out how to change some text.

The best thing for a person new to Internet Marketing is to get a blog up and running. These are easy to install and costs are generally low. Blog sites are usually the best and there are a whole load of themes available free to upload and the paid themes come with extras.

Blog sites allow you to update your site content with new content, images, articles, reviews, FAQ’s, news, topics related to your chosen Niche much easier and simpler than the traditional website. It gives you total control and you can add anything from an image to a video in seconds.

5. Choose Your Product:

If you have a product to sell then all well and good but most of us don’t. The best way to start selling online is to become an affiliate. There are thousands of affiliate products that you can promote on behalf of someone else with their total permission.

Your chosen Niche will give you an idea what product(s) to choose and there are many websites you can visit to choose a product to sell and get a percentage commission.

6. Promote Your Product and Your Website:

You can promote your new website by writing loads of articles on your chosen Niche and posting them to your blog website. You can write your own articles or get someone else out there to write them for you for a price.You can also take other peoples articles and

post them to your own blog provided that you indicate who wrote the articles, give credit and include their website links. Do not use your own name or claim that you wrote the content.Social media is another way where you can promote your website and your product.There are many Social media sites out there to register with and link back to your blog.Create a number of videos with back links to your site. Advertise your products on other sites there are many out there.
