ECC - The Construction Division of L&T is an industry

The Construction Division of L&T has set its

footprints in more than 20 countries across the globe

and the projects executed cover every segment of

industry and infrastructure. Countries that have

tapped ECC's expertise and resources include UAE,

Iraq, Oman, Kuwait, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Mozambique,

Yemen, Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Nepal, Russia, Saudi

INNOVATIVE DESIGN SOLUTIONS

L&T offers integrated solutions and end-to-end

services from design, manufacture, supply and

construction to commissioning of EHV power

transmission line projects. This is built on more than

two decades of knowledge and experience. In

addition, it has executed the 765 kV transmission

line projects - the highest AC voltage transmission

system in India to evacuate power from remote

stations to load centres.

L&T has ISO and OHSAS certified 1,00,000tpa tower

manufacturing facilities in India. The state-of-the-art

transmission line research and testing centre of L&T

which is the largest testing facility in India is

acknowledged as one of the best in the world.

L&T has executed transmission line projects in GCC

countries on EPC basis. Out of 10,760 km of EHV

power transmission lines executed by L&T, more

than 1500km has been constructed in the

international markets extending across 10 countries.

L&T offers comprehensive engineering design and

construction services for extra high voltage

substations and industrial electrification projects in

the domestic and international markets. It has

executed some of the largest electrical and

instrumentation projects in India and abroad.

It has a strong presence in UAE, Oman and executed

projects in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.

L&T has an enviable record of executing gas

insulated substations upto 400 kV range. The scope

of work covers design, engineering, supply,

installation, testing and commissioning of GIS upto

400 kV.

L&T's design arm - Engineering Design and Research

Centre (EDRC), provides conceptual and detail

engineering for all types of electrical and

transmission line projects ranging from 33 kV to 765

kV AC / 800 kV HVDC. Design engineers from across

electrical, instrumentation, structural and civil

disciplines offer precise, quicker and cost-effective

solutions for power transmission and distribution

projects.
