The Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) is being enhanced to gain:◦ Efficiencies, including entering data once for easy access throughout the tool

◦ Significant usability improvements to save time and provide a more intuitive work area

◦ Better integration of processes and data throughout the application to streamline activities

◦ Compliance with Federal SACWIS requirements Three Transformation releases will take place in 2013, and deliver progressive benefits:

◦ Introduction to Transformation June 2013 Significant usability improvements, including introduction of two new dashboard pages, Person Book and Case Book, and improvements that streamline the use of File Cabinet Imaging and Search, Desktop Navigation, and Case Notes and Meetings.

◦ Activation of Transformation Summer 2013 Numerous changes that align FSFN with the Florida Safety Decision Making Methodology, resulting in a vastly simplified user interface with much more integrated visibility and access to case data.

◦ Realization of Transformation Winter 2013 Supports critical financial/provider management and eligibility changes, and achieves compliance with federal requirements for statewide automated child welfare information systems (SACWIS), which ensures continued federal funding for key child welfare programs.

4 Tips to make Transformation easier

Past-due Tasks

• Past-due Tasks at go-live are actions previously known as Ticklers. To remove the Past-due Tasks, complete the work items to which they refer.

• Your supervisor can reassign or delete Past-due Tasks. Instructions are in the Multi-topic Supervisor User Guide. Find it on the Center for Child Welfare site > Training > FSFN > User Guides > Multi-topic Supervisor

Participant View vs Case View

• Select the Participant View on your Desktop to quickly view Person Book, which lets you see and access all the Person Book and Case Book links. Case View lets you see only Case Book links.

• Change your view at any time; changing will collapse your open expandos.

Date restricted

• Case Book and Person Book use the same logic as the Desktop, when in Date Restricted View, for displaying Case and Person information.

• Within the center group box, if more history exists within FSFN than what is displayed based on the applicable date restricted timeframe, an indicator will be displayed at the bottom of the center group box which states "More history exists, please see the Desktop."

View-only from Search

• If you access Case Book or Person Book from the Utility Search page, all FSFN pages and pieces of work launched from Case Book or Person Book are displayed in view-only mode.

• Also, Imaging pages accessed from File Cabinet Search, regardless of where the File Cabinet Search page is launched from, are displayed in view-only mode.

• Only the "View" hyperlink will be displayed.
