  • WHY IS THE EOQ MODEL IMPORTANT?No real-life model really is an EOQ model

    Many models are variants of EOQ-type models

    Many situations can be approximated by EOQ models

    The EOQ model is relatively insensitive to some pretty major errors in input parameters
