    What is Going Now ?

    The growth of semantic wave embraces four

    stages :

    Web 1.0, was about connecting information ...

    Web 2.0 is about connecting people.

    Web 3.0, is starting now and it is about

    connecting knowledge Web 4.0 will come later and it is about

    connecting intelligences in a ubiquitous web

    where both people and things can reason and

    communicate together.

    E-Learning Challenges

    There are different E-learning challenges that can be

    categorized according to their focus unit.

    It can be divided into four broad strands:

    Course challenges related to content, design and

    delivery.

    Challenges related to characteristics of the

    individual, student or the teacher.Technological challenges.

    Contextual challenges related to organizational,

    cultural and societal.

    Method

    The aims of this research were to survey, and provide

    an insight into learners' perceptions and preferences of

    e-learning in Egyptian society and to use this as a

    further indicator of the nations readiness to enhance

    e-learning.

    In this study, a random sampling method was chosen

    since the participants were from Egypt with different

    ages and education levels. The participants were 90

    persons where 63 persons were male 63 (70%) and 27

    (30%) only were female.

    Data Analysis

    This paper depends on Learner questionnaires about

    e-learning services. The responders were asked 20

    questions in the E-learning Survey form which I was

    developed and Published at estebyan.com.

    The questionnaire is of five sections. The first part is

    about Learner Personal information. The second is the

    using of computer and internet. The Third is the

    concept of E-learning. The Fourth section is about E-

    learning means. The last one is about the learner's

    Knowledge of the Sites That Offer E-Learning

    Services.

    94 % respond that they have computer at home, while 26%have computer at work, only 16% have computer at Schooland 10 % have computer at college.

    The Concept of E-Learning

    73% choose that E-learning means using the Internet

    to get Information, while 51% choose Education via

    Internet. 39% choose watching video lessons. 38%

    choose Reading Electronic books, 38% choose Distance

    learning. 36% choose learning without a teacher. 30%

    choose sending lesson on email, 30% choose listening

    to audio lessons, and 29% choose reading lessons on

    the internet.

    E-Learning Means

    There are several ways to view educational materialsin E-learning. 42% prefer Educational video, 21%

    prefer virtual classes which learners interact with

    instructor, and 20% Virtual laboratories while you can

    make the experiment and watch the results, and 17%prefer E-books.

    Responders were asked what e-learning helps in. 80%

    choose that it helps them in collection of information,

    67% answer that E-learning enables them to learnwith their own without help, 54% provide them E-

    Books, 46% liked it as a tool to train on exams, 30%

    choose that it allow learners and instructors

    communication.

    Learner's Knowledge of the Sites that

    Offer E-Learning Services 61% which is a good percentage said that they know

    sites that offer e-Learning service, while 37% said that

    they didn't know any.

    Conclusion

    From the results of the study, it appears that people

    become accustomed in using computers and internet.

    Huge percentage like E-learning as a free tool of E-

    learning to know the information they need in the time

    they need without help from any person. Also they saw

    E-learning Websites have to be increased.

    Additional studies are recommended to extend the

    research on both professors and students' perceptionsto their overall attitude, such as willingness to use e-

    learning, their need for educational technology, as well

    as technical assistance and training support.

    Future Work How do students learn? This question has been an area

    of interest for instructors and researchers for many

    years.

    Learning styles are learners preferences in learning.

    There are many models of learning styles. Several

    learning styles models and several instruments for

    measuring learning styles have been developed in an

    attempt to answer this question.
