Major Ratings and Characteristics

This new IRK series of MAGN-A-paks uses high voltagepower diodes in two basic configurations. The semicon-ductors are electrically isolated from the metal base ,allowing common heatsinks and compact assemblies tobe built. They can be interconnected to form singlephase or three phase bridges and the single diodemodule can be used in conjunction with the thyristormodules as a freewheel diode. These modules areintended for general purpose applications such asbattery chargers, welders and plating equipment andwhere high voltage and high current are required (motordrives, etc.).
