Dear Bros in Christ,
Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the
countenance of his friend.Brothers in Christ, this monthly
devotional is sent and meant to be an encouragement toall and to
build up and edify in the Lord Jesus Christ. Oikodome means
"Builder". The Lordhas put this on my heart to send out a monthly
Iron Man Oikodome {oy-kod-om-ay'} to build up and encourage the men
who love and follow Jesus Christ in their walk witHim.

called Today, so that nonof you may be hardened by sin's

FULL THROTTLEDo you not know that those who run in a race all
run, but one receives the prize? Run in such
way that you may obtain it (1Corinthians 9:24 NKJV).
Bros sometimes we can forget and become complacent but remember
we are running a race make itcount as you run towards the Lord,
dont waste energy, and get caught in small talk or
meaninglesswords, idle talk, use words that have power- Gods Word!
Go for the prize! Dont run in circles like adog chasing after their
tail Make it count go Full Throttle for the prize- time is short.
When you lookaround this world in which we live in and see all the
complacent people just seemly stuck where they arand it seems like
nothing is real, sincere or genuine anymore. It is even like
everyone has becomeprogrammed or instructed just to be able to say
what we always think of as normal salutations. Forinstance have you
ever walked into a store and immediately from behind a clothes
rack, or over a PAsystem or behind a cappuccino machine someone
blurts out and mumbles some prescreened preparedwords or maybe it
is a teleprompter they are using to try to welcome you and make you
feel welcomed.
Its like they are not even looking at you or acknowledging you
but seem to be on auto pilot to greetevery customer, not that this
bad but it reeks of a lack of sincerity and canned response. The
wordsused to greet folks have lost there meaning in todays world It
is the same most everywhere you go, almost seems like you know when
you walk into or across a door threshold at a store or place
ofbusiness a bell dings to let them know someone has just walked
into and it kicks on this cannedsalutation response; at least they
could customize it and say yeah you over there in the blue shirt
Imtalking to you and of course then we could say you talkin to
me?It seems we are losing our ability to communicate in a genuine
normal manner even in our own personacommunications; look at emails
they have become messages without addressing the person by namethat
is getting it- they just start talking and you pick up midstream,
no one now reads emails of anylength, anything over a paragraph,
maybe because the emails are delivered right into our hands
holding
our phones. Or is it because we dont want to take the time to
talk and address each other in a personamatter anymore, is everyone
becoming more distant with one another or no time for each other.
Textingis comprised of the new Ebonics of our language and
communication, some of it is actually a result ofnot being able to
spell I understand that but what I am saying is folks dont have
time for each otherunless we can say it in 140 characters or less
and even then is it anything of sincerity or worthy oftexting or is
it just more nonsense or junk messages that we need The messages
are powerless; theyhave lost the true meaning because there is
nothing behind them or in them, no sincerity, no love, or noheart
just popular innuendosI guess it seems like we all have time for
all the things we think are advanced communication, but mostof the
technology we have today is used for mostly advancing trivial
things, pointless silent chatter with

no expression or sense of what is meant because we cannot see
facial emotion or expressions orrecognition of any gestures that
are normal parts of personal face to face communication.
Alsobecause the phrases used to express different emotions and
feelings are maybe over used and havelost implied meaning or
effectiveness because of over used symbolisms to convey the
message. Toshow what is implied and conveyed in the words shared.
Something is lost in communication translationwe have moved away
from personal intimate conversations, everything seems so
superficial to the poinwhere people seem fake not because they are
but because technology has made everything soimpersonal.
Bros I want to encourage you in this high technological age, in
which we live let us seek God with all ouheart to reach this lost
and dying world, run that we may obtain it for the Lord! Dont lose
sight of being awitness for the Lord! I can see how families arent
as close anymore even as when I grew up and weneed to use every
resource God allows us to have to share the Gospel. That is why it
is so important tomemorize and clearly share scripture and be ready
to give the simple truth of the Gospel, the whole trutand nothing
but the truth of God, whether we are talking face to face, texting,
social networking, tweetinor sending an emailBros be Spirit Led
Spirit Filled On Fire Born Again Bible Believing
EvangelicalChristians. We dont have much time to be a witness or
share the Gospel so it seems, so make everyword, every step count
for the Lord Jesus Christ Full Throttle. How shall we do that, by
being first aclean vessel that the Lord can use! David the sinner
prays for forgiveness and cleansing and then uponreceiving this
said Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall
be converted to You
(Psalm 51:13 NKJV).Then by using the Word of God, it is more
powerful than anything we could ever say. Remember in thismodern
communication world of few words let your words count and be the
Lords Words.So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It
shall not return to Me void, But it shallaccomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11
NKJV).You see all this technology that gets all of the worlds
messages out there doesnt have any meaning orpower in it, sure it
has power to get it out there- but when you are sharing the Word of
God now there iPower in His Word- Amen!
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any
two-edged sword, piercing even to thedivision of soul and spirit,
and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and
intents of the
heart (Hebrew 4:12 NKJV).Use Gods Word, more powerful than the
speeding technological advances of our time Power Wordsfrom the
