Main Objective ISCP: Conservation,Research & Education

ISCP ’s Board of Executive Director and staff, I am pleased to present a briefsummary of the organization’status /activity for the December 2015. As explained inrecent monthly Reports December 2015 will show in table at the end of this report .

The Monthly Report presents some highlights of the many Projects or activitiesacross the Medan-Sibolangit or commontly in North Sumatra province. in which weare involved. I will mention just a few and detail with Photo Documentation. We havebegun a research and monitoring project focusing on Poksai Project plus otherProject .And during year to year we add some project like Nias Hill Myna and nextplan project for slow lories. This is a project sponsored by Zoo Liberec ,ZooHeidelberg ,Kolner Zoo ,Ostrava Zoo ,ST Laurant company,Voegelparkviernheim atHeidelberg Germany and be supported by BKSDA, Czech students,Local studentsand local individual such us forest guide and bird trappers. This project isnoteworthy because it is our first major study on this particular group of uplandbirds.Main project and Other project still try continues in trying developed by all ISCPTeam in local and in abroad specially from Czech supporter and others countrywhich interesting involved.

- Starting since 3-8 December 2015 Rudi preparing manage TBCC at USUwith make committe to the Lecturer Ibu Pasaribu and same of faculty ofBilogy USU(University of North Sumatra).

- .

- On 10 December ISCP as Committe local cooperate with USU make forTBCC conference at USU atending by participants arround 150 people and 8speaker (Tomas Ouhel,Simon Bruslund,Tereja sujmalova,FrantisekPribrsky,Lucie Cizmarova,Sharon Kwok,Chong Ju Lian and Ibu Amelia Dewi).

- On 11 Decmber 2015 Tomas Ouhel ,Simon bruslund and Tereza flight to NiasIsland for manage program Nias hill myna/Beo Nias with pak Philips theowner Soliga Hotel who have 1 NHM/Beo Nias at his hotel and approach tobemake cooperation in future make breeding site NHM at his place .

- At this time also Tomas and Tereza manage for building cage for NHM at Paknazara house and place for monitoring the wild NHM arround there and makelibrary to education program at the village .Rudi already give/transfer15.000.000 IDR budget from ISCP account to pak nazara to manage it atvillage arround Pak Nazara live in South of Nias.

- On 12 December 2015 Rudi bring Sharon Kwok to animal market and alsovisit Orang utan havens and orang utan rehabilitation meeting also with IanSingleton as Director conservation of SOCP.

- On 16 December 2015 Rudi and Prantisek flight to Jakarta invite by KSDAEJakarta to continue manage MoU kukang plus also keep on manage Nias HillMyna that at the presentation meeting already deal make unite MoU Kukangand Beo Nias together in one MoU at local BKSDA north sumatra just left onemore requarement that ISCP manage is to make agrrement ISCP landprolong tobe 20 years to the owners of land and then reset up proposal in oneproposal of Beo Nias and Kukang.

- On 20 December 2015 ISCP and IAR make cooperation socialization andcampaign together at Merdeka walk Medan.

- On 21 December ISCP representative by Rudi,Prantisek,Lucie and Novieattending workshop about kukang/slowlorises conservation action plan atBKSDA North Sumatra..this workshop manage by Yayasan IAR (InternationalAnimla Rescue) and BKSDA North Sumatra.And continuing by discussingwith Pak Toni Anwar Bksda to fit the unite permit MoU between ISCP andBKSDA for Kukang and Beo Nias.

- During this time..since 1 December until we report this monthly report TomasOuhel and Tereza still on field work in Nias island,Pulau Banyak andbangkaru and on january will also to mentawai island to continue survey andcompare indendify Myna individuals to the Nias Hill Myna ,like measuring,takephoto in the wild or in captive..they will report later after finish collect all dataand this report we just send some documantation photo that they have andposting on FB.

- On 9 january 2016 Rudi,Tomas Ouhel and Tereza flight to banda aceh tomanage meeting with director HAKA (Hutan Alam dan Lingkungan Aceh/Forest, Nature and Environment of Aceh to discuss in future cooperation toprotection habitat of nias hill myna at bangkaru islan that the population ofnias hill myna at bangkaru island still sustainable.
