  • Israel Graduate School of Finance – in formation

    The Challenge and the Mission

    Challenge

    • To succeed, Israel must compete with the best Business Schools in the world.

    • This competition drives tuitions and salaries in the US first and then in Europe (not in Israel).

    • Israel has an ample supply of raw talent: Israelis occupy very prominent positions in

    academia and firms.

    • However, Israel does not have the institutions to train this talent, so it leaves the country!

    Mission

    • To develop the Israeli financial markets.

    • To make Israel a more significant player in the world financial markets:

    • The necessary condition is a steady supply of very well-trained specialists in Finance.

    • This means competing with the best schools in the world. We must have local excellence!

  • Israel Graduate School of Finance – realistic solution

Realistic Solution: IGSF • A new Israeli institution as a significant center of excellence: consortium of schools. Benefits

the universities in Israel. • Similar to institutions created in Austria, France (Paris), Holland, and Switzerland, which

faced similar problems. • Utilize the economies of scale. • Attract faculty from abroad can be a contender to be among the top Finance Schools!

IGSF: Advantages • Keep bright students in Israel. • Create brand recognition among the top financial firms in the world, and attract foreign

students. • In addition, IGSF can facilitate the return of the Israeli Finance professionals – huge boost to

    the industry!
