ISTANBUL / TURKEY: M/Y “NERISSA”, the first of the 48m Bilgin 156 series, was launched on the 26th July after 23 months of construction.
To everyone’s delight, and Bilgin Yachts’ pride, the vessel weighed-in bang on target and settled into her lines perfectly with no need for ballasting.
The graceful lines and perfect proportions of the vessel from Unique Yacht Design’s talented office were immediately catching the eye and drawings compliments from all persons witnessing the event. This gives the promise that this 499 GRT superyacht will be a head turner and the subject of much interest in the coming months.
M/Y “NERISSA” has an original interior design by H2 Yacht Design with naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design of Antalya. She is a full-displacement motor yacht, with a hi-tensile steel hull and alumini-um superstructure, capable of cruising beyond 4,000 miles and reach-ing a top speed of 16 knots.
Although most of the dock and system trials have already been per-formed in its construction shed, the vessel will spend the next month at the dock for final fit-out, commissioning and sea trials before being sent on her way to the south of France.
M/Y “NERISSA” is will be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show this September, where she will be presented to the press and industry as well as to potential buyers.
