e Driftless Zone of Southwestern Wisconsin forms the north eastern “shore” of the great prairie of the American central plains. It’s a geography determined by its history as the limit of the Wisconsonian Glacier of the last ice age. It is a land contrasts; beautiful hill country, meandering rivers and the grasses of the Great Plains. On September 26 2009, Alan Darveaux and his friends met at Mike Wolkomir’s house to perform an eclectic concert for 70 neighbors in Barneveld, Wisconsin, on the prairie.
