The Outlook
Glenn’s Thoughts Many things come and go so fast that it is hard to keep up with life some days. I complain about cell phones and technology today but can you imagine where all this will be in 20 years. So many things have changed about this world. Some are good and some are not good at all. As we look at our families I know we see the changes. It seems like only yesterday when Tyler was three and the best part of the day was burst-ing through the kitchen door for a wrestling match with him that was long anticipated by both of us. All day long you looked forward to seeing the woman of your dreams and playing with those kids who have brought you so much joy since the day they were born. Then, as all middle aged people do, you look up into their eyes one day instead of having to bend down to pick them up. You see a grown man in front of you instead of a little boy. All the dreams and wishes you have prayed about are standing in front of you eager to take the next step in life. There is a side of you that is just as eager for that step and……just as willing to hold off a little more. Life is full of changes and changes come whether we like them or not. I can remember the first time I stepped foot in King. Other than the Shell station the nearest thing to our exit was the produce stand on the corner of Ingram Drive, which was not even a road then. My have things changed. In our lives we will experience many changes and many seasons. People will come and go in our lives. Some will hurt to lose while others may be another acquaintance we just barely knew. Phil. 1: 3 & 4 says, ―I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy.‖ As we enter 2012 may we truly seek to be the type of people who bring joy, fellowship and sweet memories to those we come in contact with. Life is to short and it changes faster than we wish sometimes. May God bless you and your family in 2012!
Love in Christ, Glenn

peter’s point of view
A new year is here and already packed with upcoming
events. I hope you will mark your family’s calendar and make
it a priority to attend.
We are starting our new year off by laying a great spiritual
foundation with GROW on Jan. 28th. For those of you who
are not familiar with GROW, it’s a 40 day journey devoted to
spiritual growth of your child and your family. This year
GROW will be focusing on the spiritual discipline of Worship.
Also this year we are excited to introduce to you GROW-
ING SPROUTS. This is a devotional for pre-schoolers and their
families.
Grow is sure to bless you and your family. Each child par-
ticipating will receive a 40 day devotional book and prayer
journal plus more. Families please join us on Jan. 28th for
the GROW kickoff. I am also asking that the Church at large
be in prayer for our children and their families as they begin
GROW.
2012 Children’s Calendars will be printed soon!
E-mails Wanted: The church has set up an email address system to be able to keep
members better informed of church information. This will be used only
to send out information to members, not to receive information from
members. Please do not reply to the emails unless asked to. To get our
email database started, please send an email to the following address so
that we will have your correct email address. You may send your home
as well as your work email address.

CHURCH
Thank You Thanks to Michael Loggins Jr. for cleaning the
carpet and pews in the sanctuary in Nov. That was such a blessing.
A big thanks to Trina Tucker and her gang for decorating the church during the Christmas season.
CCF is a non-denominational ministry serving on the
campuses of ECU, NCSU, UNC, and UNC-W. Today 9
out of 10 students who enter college believing in Jesus,
walk away from Him be their Sophomore year.
Our mission is to make disciples on the college cam-
pus who impact the world. No longer is CCF merely a
safe-house for Christian students, but now we equip stu-
dents to be ministers of the Gospel on campus and for
the rest of their lives.
Please take a moment to visit our individual campus
ministry websites to learn about the great work God is
doing!
