18 January 2018
GST Dinner was held in New Delhi by Delhi Tourism
on behalf of the government of Delhi. The Garden of
Five Senses was decorated to welcome the guests
and special programmes were held. Indian Ocean,
the famous band performed for the august gathering
as they enjoyed the evening with their colleagues.
The venue, Garden of Five Senses which already
boasts of pristine surroundings was beautifully deco-
rated during the event.
26th- 28th January
The Bagwani Utsav held at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri was a newly introduced event by the organization. Both natural and artificial plants were at display as well as available for sale. Many other attractions like quiz competitions, children’s art competition and cultural competitions were held to increase the entertainment quotient of the event. While the parents looked at plans to decorate their gardens, children were seen passionately participating in the drawing competition.
5th- 14th January
A special event promoting the local handicrafts of the country was held by Delhi Tourism at Dilli Haat, Janak Puri. The event sponsored by DC (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India featuring various handicrafts, handloom bazaar, ethnic food court and camel rides. The 10 day event gathered many people who were yet to experience these hand-icrafts which were at display here.

for its Calendar by Public Relations Society of
India. We hosted some of the most important
international delegations at our properties be it the ASEAN delegates or the
French President’s India visit. Our properties made individual efforts to host
some engaging events like Bagwani Utsav, Handicrafts Expo, Dastkar Exhibition,
Lohri celebrations among many others. The city was also represented at some of
the important events held across the country like Bharat Parv, IIFTC, FICCI
Frames, SATTE to showcase the diversity it offers. The city remained in the news
with another successful year of ‘The Garden Tourism Festival’ and was extensively
covered by the print and online media.

ASEAN Delegates Visit INA
26 January, 2018 Dilli Haat lit up to
welcome delegates of ASEAN-India Com-
memorative Summit on 26th January, 2018.
Government of Delhi along with Delhi Tour-
ism organized a special trip for the dele-
gates to visit Dilli Haat, INA and experience
the Indian culture at its best. Seasonal
flowers, handmade rangolis and colorful
decorations lit up the entrance to welcome
the delegates.
The regional crafts of India captured the
interest of delegates who were seen engag-
ing with the craftsman and local retailers.
They further explored the beautifully deco-
rated HAAT and enjoyed the pleasant Delhi
weather. Special cultural programmes were
held to highlight the rich history of India
and its rooted connection with other ASEAN
countries.
The evening ended on a wonderful note as the delegates got closer to India’s culture and got a chance to enjoy a relaxing evening during the summit.

the Government of India organized
“Shilpotsav - 2018", a 15 days long
unique cultural fiesta at Delhiite’s
most favourite hangout joint and
Delhi Tourism’s project site - Dilli
Haat, I.N.A. from 16th to 31st
January, 2018.
The 15 days long fiesta depicted a wide array of various beautiful handicrafts ranging from wooden crafts items to handmade wooden showpieces, toys, decorative items, sculptures, silk sarees to durries, readymade garments, terracotta products, jute products, dress material, Kashmiri shawls/stoles, leather, cane & bamboo products, hand embroidery prod-ucts, bead products, pearls, imita-tion jewellery, decorative candles, wood carving, block printing, wooden toys, tie & dye, wood, marble artefacts, handloom, etc. to name a few made by the expert hands of the participating crafts-men of the country.
Dastkar Exhibition
1-15 January
Craftsmanship is the backbone of the country like India. Here, one may find at least one person blessed with one or the other talent inherited in her/himself. So, with an aim to provide a chance to the craftsmen of the country to polish their inherited skills and showcase their inevitable and un-matched talents in the public to earn a bet-ter livelihood, the Ministry of Textiles, Gov-ernment of India organized 10 days long Handicrafts Exhibition at Dilli Haat - I.N.A. from 1 to 15 January - 2018.

In order to bid adieu to the cold chilly waves of the winter season and welcome the sun to the northern hemisphere of the planet earth, Dilli Haat - I.N.A. observed and celebrated the festi-val - Lohri with full zeal and great pomp and show.
Delhi at Bharat Parv

Delhi through various means, Delhi
Tourism participated in Bharat Parv
organized by Government of Indi at
the Red Fort, Delhi from 26th to 31st
January, 2018. The prime objective
of organizing the event is to gener-
ate a patriotic mood, promote the
rich cultural diversity of the country
and to ensure wider participation of
the general public. Delhi Tourism
showed their participation by taking up
a booth for the transmission of infor-
mation. Our representatives personally
welcomed, Smt. Rashmi Verma, Secre-
tary, Ministry of Tourism at the inaugu-
ration.
Delhi Participates in various Events
Continuing its presence at various trav-el trade shows Delhi Tourism partici-pated in shows at Nagpur, Pune and Delhi. One of the biggest travel trade event SATTE was also not missed and the team was prompt in booking a stall and showing their support.
Republic Day celebrations at Pitam-
pura
A special cultural programme in asso-ciation with Sahitaya Kala Parishad showcasing the history of Republic Day was held at Dilli Haat, Pitampu-ra. The entire property was decorat-ed in tricolor and dance performanc-es were held in the evening. The visitors were seen enjoying their extended weekend at leisure in the evening.
New Year Celebrations at Gar-den of Five Senses
Garden of Five Senses became a hot spot for Delhiites to celebrate their New Year’s Eve and welcome the New Year with their family and friends. The place was packed as more visitors poured in to enjoy the gathering in the serene environment of the Garden. The property was beautifully lit with colored fountains highlighting the pathways. The ef-forts paid off as many people en-joyed the evening with their loved ones. Here are a few glimpses.

Valentine’s Day Celebration
Dilli Haat - Pitampura in association
with Astitva Foundation geared up in
a unique gesture to celebrate the
season of love - “Valentine’s Day -
2018”.
So, celebrating the year’s most awaited occasion “Valentine’s Day”, Dilli Haat - Pitampura was decked up and given a mesmerizing look to just let the people share their love for their loved ones. The theme of the fiesta, especially designed for the elderly citizens of the city added up to make it a one of its kinds gala events in the capital city.
The Garden Tourism Festival ends on a successful note
The 31st edition of the Garden Tourism Festival was held at the Garden of
Five Senses from 16- 18 February 2018. Organized by Delhi Tourism in asso-
ciation with Govt. of Delhi, the event was inaugurated by Shri Manish Sisodia,
Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Delhi in the august presence of Smt.
Varsha Joshi, Secretary Tourism, Govt. of Delhi. Themed as ‘Grow Garden:
Save Delhi’, the three day festival succeeding in attracting around 50,000
visitors.
Display of large variety of flowers, Bonsai exhibition, potted plants, organic
fertilizers, indoor plants were the major highlights of the event besides
Garden Bazaar, cultural activities and regional cuisines. Different theme
gardens at the venue captivated large number of nature lovers. All three
days were brimming with the energy of cultural activities and performanc-
es that entertained people right from the start. The event concluded with
the prize distribution ceremony with winners being awarded.

After The Garden Tourism Festival ended on a successful note, Dilli Haat Pitampura organized a Bagwani Utsav. The special attractions at the festival were various plants by nurseries, indoor plants for sale, food stalls, handicrafts exhibition.
Dilli Haat, INA becomes hosted Delhi Literature Festival 2018
23rd to 25th February

Literature Festival - 2018 kicked-off with full
enthusiasm and craze at Delhiite’s most favour-
ite Dilli Haat - I.N.A. from 23 to 25 February
- 2018.
With an aim to feature a diverse mix of writers
and poets belonging to different genres of writ-
ings, the exuberant literary fiesta proved to be a
real lively affair for the bookworms and lovers,
who always wander in the search of getting them
HOLI FESTIVAL held at Dilli Haat, INA
24 February – 1 March 2018
A special Holi Festival was organized at Dilli Haat, INA starting 24th February. Department of Envi-ronment, Govt of NCT Delhi had set up special stalls for sale of Natural Holi Colors in Dilli Haat. Delhi Tourism also organized cultural shows in collaboration with Sahitya Kala Parishad, Govt of Delhi on 26th February to 1st March 2018 in the evening hours. The ambience was created in sync with the festi-val. Special Holi sweets had also been displayed for sale in the complex. Handicrafts, handloom sand cuisine stalls from Uttarakhand and other states were added as an attraction.
DELHI TOURISM AWARDED FOR CREATIVE FILM SHOOTING
Delhi Tourism, Govt.of Delhi’s Calendar for this year, promoting locations
for Film Shootings, was awarded as exceptionally creative publication
(Crystal category) by Sh.Dilip Kamble, MOS for social Justice, Govt. of
Maharashtra, during the annual Conclave of Public Relations Council of
India (PRCI), at Pune on 10th March, 2018. Sudhir Sobti, Chief Manager,
PR/Publicity and Film Shooting Facilitation received the award on behalf of
Delhi Tourism.

presented annually to recognize talent and
professional standards. There were 36
subjects in 22 categories for awards this
year. In each subject, Gold, Silver and
Bronze trophy were awarded for the
meritorious entry selected. Only a few

Platinum & Crystal Awards.

Participation in India International Film
Tourism Conclave (IIFTC)
1-3RD March 2018
Delhi Tourism participated in the sixth edition of IIFTC 2018. The event included participa-tion of 44 exhibitors from 19 countries shar-ing 22 stands. There were over 70 Interna-tional delegates with over 125 business dele-gates representing the film industry from over 95 companies. Delhi, being one of the partner states was active during the entire event representing the capital city in various panels apart from promoting it as a film tour-ism destination.

FRAMES held in Mumbai

FRAMES is a three day global con-vention covering the entire gamut of media and entertainment like Films, Broadcast (TV & Radio), Print Media, Digital Entertainment, Advertise-ment, Live Entertainment Events, Visual Effects etc. It attracted indus-try stakeholder from all across the world but also government policy makers from India and abroad.

Mrs Brigitte Macron, wife of Emmanuel Macron, President of France along with other French dele-gates visited Dilli Haat, INA today. She was seen interacting at the stalls, getting to know more about Indian crafts.
Bihar Utsav organized
at Dilli Haat, INA
16th -31st March, 2018
A Bihar utsav was orga-nized at Dilli Haat INA. Inaugurated by Honb’le Minister of Trade, Govt of Bihar, Shri. Jay Kumar Singh, the event wit-nessed participation of various retailers from Bihar showcasing some unique artifacts.
Dance of Democracy held at various Dilli Haats

The Art and Culture Department Govt of Delhi through its cultural wing Sahitya Kala Parishad
celebrated a mega cultural talent hunt event on the theme of ‘Delhi’s Date with Democracy’
programme.
Food Walk based on a book promoted at Dilli Haat, INA
Lathika George’s new book — Mother Earth, Sister Seed — in the Capital was promot-ed in a unique way by gorging on the lost indigenous recipes of India through a walk down Dilli Haat at a food trail, amid a congregation of book lovers and bloggers. The event was a big hit among the media and the food trail organized by Delhi Food Walk’s Anubhav Sapra was highly appreciated. It took everyone through the various recipes that are at sale in the Dilli Haat.
