100 million regular dieters – diet information is difficult to navigate

Current & Future Statistics

66 percent of adults are overweight (BMI >25)

72 million Americans are obese (BMI > 30)

Seven to eight million adults are extremely obese (BMI > 40)

Thousands are super-obese (BMI >50 and a new category deemed necessary to create).

Experts predict that 9 out of 10 people will become overweight or obese at some point in their lifetime and if recent trends continue, almost every adult will be either overweight or obese by 2048.
