for her text-based work. They have been constructed from truisms such as ‘abuse of power comes as no surprise’. Holzer has been able to create public discussions about violence, sexuality, feminism and death by experimenting with displaying visual words in public spaces. Holzer’s starting point was street posters which has led to the use of LED screens that run with texts, painted signs and sound.

Garages, kiosks and billboards are some of the places Koch has done his work outside of museums and galleries.
