Job Description Reference 224 Job Title AutoForm Simulation Specialist Department Engineering Hours of Work 37 hours per week Type of Contract Contract Employed Contract Duration On-going Permanent Reporting To: CAD Manger Responsible For N/A JOB PROFILE Overall Purpose and Aims of the Job Role The AutoForm Simulation Specialist is responsible for managing multiple programme simulation outputs. Health & Safety Responsibilities Health and Safety To comply with the statutory provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and any Company policy in regards to health and safety including the wearing of PPE. To assist with accident investigations and to assist in putting measures in place to avoid repetitions. To assist with the completion of risk assessments. To ensure all employees have access to a safe working environment and company health and safety policy is applied including the enforcement of PPE To maintain a good level of housekeeping. Key Tasks Roles & Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all aspects of AutoForm simulation Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation understanding Developing automated systems (queuing and script) to reduce processing time and optimise workflow Review/discuss simulation results internally and with customers Supply solutions to tooling team Support Quality process specifically relating to simulation software output In-house training and mentoring of employees in AutoForm software Reporting and progress chasing on AutoForm output to support multiple projects Supporting the CAD Manager to deliver tooling design to project timing

JOB PROFILE Overall Purpose and Aims of the Job Role

The AutoForm Simulation Specialist is responsible for managing multiple programme simulation outputs.

Experience of working within an automotive/ manufacturing environment

Fully conversant with AutoForm, used within the work place

FEA simulation understanding

Understanding of press form tooling design

Ability to work to deadlines & report on progress

Problem solving skills

Ability to work to instruction and integrate into a successful engineering team

Good written & verbal communication skills

Commercial awareness

Process driven with a Quality mind-set

Ability to multitask & prioritise work according to customer & business requirements

Desirable level of competency

APQP understanding

Project management skills

Ability to lead and co-ordinate a team
