Job Shadowing Job Shadowing is an activity where students are
allowed to go and shadow an employee in a career field that they
are interested in. All grade levels are allowed to participate in
this program. No credit is awarded for the activity but the
experience is wonderful!
History of Job ShadowingFebruary 1996 Groundhog Job Shadow Day
was first conducted by the Boston Private Industry Council as part
of its school-to-work effort.In 1997 Bell South repeated Job Shadow
throughout the Southeast.
History of Job Shadow IIIn 1998 a national coalition was formed
throughout the United States by Americas Promise, Junior
Achievement and the U. S. Department of Labor.Today well over 4
million students participate in Job Shadow projects.
