Speak Out Trainers with learning disabilities want your organisation to

join the Thumbs Up scheme.

Thumbs up is about a service saying they will give good

support to people with learning disabilities.

Who can join thumbs up?

Organisations, businesses, services in Brighton and Hove can

join thumbs up?

Here are some services that have already joined thumbs up:• Bus company•Council Departments•Moksha Café•Specsavers•A Florist•Learning disability services

What does it mean to join thumbs up?

It means your organization or service are taking a pledge/

promise to offer good support to people with learning disabilities.

What will we give you if you join thumbs up?

We will give services that join:•A dvd about good support•A book about good support•A Sticker to display to tell people with learning disabilities that you are part of the thumbs up scheme and want to give better support.•Tips on our facebook page.•Ongoing advice and feedback about your service• Information about your service will go on a public webpage

• We will run two training days for the new services. The training will be in good support for people with learning disabilities and making information accessible.

• We will give you help to improve your service for people with learning disabilities.

• We will tell people with learning disabilities about what services are in the thumbs up scheme.
