Dear applicant, Before starting your on-line application, please read carefully this document. It will help you to make a successful application. In the following pages you will find screenshots of the application with all the explanations, so please read the whole document (i.e. all the pages). First of all, if you have any questions or doubts, please go to the FAQ page of FIPDes website: http://www.fipdes.eu/spip.php?article6 Read carefully each page of the on-line application form. All the headings highlighted in purple are mandatory fields and must be completed before the validation of your file. Remember that you can upload only one document for each supporting document, so if you have several pages (for your transcripts for instance), please make one PDF file with several pages. Please upload the correct document in the correct place. Please compress your documents if needed, the maximum size per supporting document PDF is 3MB. Check that your scans are readable. If we cannot read them, your application will be considered as ineligible. Please upload the full transcript of your BSc (3 or 4 years according to the degree), with all the classes you took and grades you received. Concerning the reference letters, we need two reference letters with a signature and a seal/stamp of the University/Institution of your referee. You can download a form on our webpage: http://www.fipdes.eu/?Application-procedure-71. The reference letters have to be uploaded on your on-line application. If the envelop is sealed, please open it and scan the letters. Please fill in the Application Form that you can find on our website and upload it (once converted in PDF) as ‘Additional document 3’. 9. Supporting documents Please remember that all the documents have to be in PDF format and cannot exceed 3MB. If you have several pages for one supporting document, please make one PDF with several pages (for your transcripts, for instance). Please upload the following supporting documents on the online application tool:

• Curriculum Vitae (if possible in European Format, see the Europass Website) • Original and translation in English or French of transcript of records for last

academic year: Transcripts of academic records for each year of the BSc degree or equivalent (official signed and stamped transcripts with explanation of the grading system, and, if applicable, official translation in English or one of the languages of the Partner Universities: French, Italian, Swedish)

• Letter of Motivation: motivation for the whole FIPDes programme & your personal choice and motivation for the second study year track. Please indicate at the end of the letter your first and second choice of the second year

• Proof of English level (TOEFL): Proof of English Proficiency ("B2 level" according to CEFR, advanced) demonstrated in one of the following ways:

- TOEFL at minimum level 575 - Internet-based TOEFL at minimum level 90 - IELTS at minimum level 6.5 - Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency - Students with English as their mother tongue (the copy of passport is needed to prove

this) - Students who have completed a higher education degree with English as a medium of

instruction (a certificate from the university is required to prove this) - Stay of more than a year in an English-speaking country (a certificate from employer or

other as applicable, or a copy of the passport page showing visa to enter and leave the English-speaking country, is needed to prove this)

- Exemptions can exceptionally be made for outstanding students with a lower English proficiency level

• Recommendation letter: Two reference letters (signed and stamped, if possible use the FIPDes form) fipdes_recommendation_letter_form_2015.doc

List of the additional mandatory documents (to be attached as PDF files of max. 3 Mo):

• Additional Document 1: Copy of BSc-degree or equivalent (Official copy of the official degree required, temporary certificates older than 2 years will not be accepted) plus Official translation of Degree (if applicable, official translation in English or one of the languages of the Partner Universities)

• Additional Document 2: Scan of valid Passport (with photo, date of expiry and personal details) / ID can be accepted for European students only

• Additional Document 3: Completed application form (using the provided form)fipdes_application_form-3.doc
