JOSEPH AND HIS BROTHERS

Narrator:

Once there was a Family in Jerusalem The father of the family was Jacob and he have several wives and

have 12 sons and one daughter one of those brothers was name Joseph and he was loved the best.

Joseph:

Father thank you always for taking care of me and my brothers, we are always happy together with my

brothers

Jacob:

Son you are always welcome when you were born in this world i always thank God for what wonderful

gift that was given to me.

Narrator:

While Jacob is praising his son Joseph those brother of Joseph is always jealous about him that the

father is always giving more attention than them

Brother Reuben:

Why is he always the favorite one? we also do what father tell as and do a good job but we don't get the

same praise as him

Brother 1:

Yes i think we should do something about Joseph

Brother2:

I agree Brother

Brother 3:

someday his going to pay

Brother 4:Yes will make him pay

Narrator:

Every day the brothers of Joseph grew there jealousy more, One day the Father of Joseph made a gift

and gave it to Joseph a rainbow color coat made by his father , and his other brothers didn't get any, it

made them jealous again.

Joseph:

Father thank you for this wonderful coat you made ill show this to my brother

Look Brother Father made me this coat it rely fits perfectly

Brothers 1,2,3,4:

Whispering of bad reaction on Joseph

Narrator:

One day they Go to a field, and then Joseph told the brothers a story about his dream.

Joseph:

Brothers i dream a wonderful dream last night that each of us, have are owned sheaves.

But all of your sheaves bow down to mine..

Narrator:

Then the brothers reacted furiously.

Reuben:

So you think that you are better than each of us.

Brothers 1:

yeah! what's with you all always saying you are better than us.

Brother 2,3,4 :

(Shouting angry) yeah!!

Narrator :

On the next day Joseph and the Brothers go to a field again and Joseph told them what he dreamed,

Joseph:

Brothers i had a wonderful dream again that i was sailing on the sky and the sun moon and eleven stars

bow down to me..

Narrator:

This time the brother is planning to get rid of Joseph. Reuben told the brothers

Reuben:

i had it. We should kill him right now.

Brother 1:

if we do that father will know what we did.

Brother 2:

Yes maybe tomorrow

Brother 3:We will take Joseph Far away so that our father will not now.

Brother 4:

We will throw him in the pit so that he will have what he deserves

Narrator :

One Day The Jacob told Joseph to find his brother on long country

Jacob:

Joseph find your Brothers Joseph and call them to come here

Joseph:

Yes Father.

Joseph :

Brothers we have to come home father told me.

Narrator:

But when Joseph got close to them the Brothers Grab him and took his coat and Throw Joseph into the

pit.

Joseph:

Brother why are you doing this? what have i done to you?

Rueben:

This is what you deserve always mocking us. i will find a way to kill you (Rueben left)

Brother 1:

You stay there

Brother 2:

what are we going to do to him?

Narrator:

The brothers hear that there's someone coming, a group of merchant that will going its way to Egypt.

Brother3:

what about? we sell Joseph to the merchant ? and tell father that Joseph was killed by a beast.

Brotther4:

yes! We will used his favorite coat that father gave him and put some blood on it and show it to father.

Narrator:

They Sold Joseph to the merchant a 20 pieces silver coin and the merchant took Joseph away. and the

brothers go to Jacob and told a lie that Joseph was killed by a beast when he finding his brother. and

Jacob wept away and believe that his son Joseph was rely dead. but he doesn't know that someday he

will meet Joseph again
