The Bath Royal Literary & Scientific Institution

(founded in 1824) is based in a unique listed

building in the heart of the historic city of Bath.

Here we put on a programme of talks and

discussions, which is unrivalled for the range of

subjects covered, and featuring some of today’s

leading thinkers and researchers.

Here also are housed our Collections:

internationally recognized items of geology,

natural history, ethnography, and archaeology;

a library of 10,000 antiquarian books and the

correspondence of many eminent 19th century

scientists including Charles Darwin.
