JAGITUDE

adjective:

of the pride in being a

St. Antoninus Jaguar.

(ex. They had a certain

Jagitude about them.)

noun:

The passion it takes

to be the best!

(ex. The other schools

Jagitude!)

Dear Parents,

Session #2 of Summer Camp is underway this morning and all looked very happy

entering with their teachers! It’s been fun to have children back in the building and

hear laughter once again. It’s a good precursor to what the new year will be for 2021-

2022.

Speaking of our new year to come, we will be welcoming a new teacher to our

faculty. Mrs. Sharon Peters will be teaching in our Fourth Grade! She’s a 23- year

experienced teacher, with 20 of those years of teaching on the westside, at St. Martin,

Grades 4, 5, & 6, and three additional years, teaching 5th, at St. Mary, in Hyde Park. In

speaking with Sharon, just this morning, I can tell you that she’s very excited to be

coming here, and she can’t wait to share her love of Science, Math, and Religion with

all of her new students. She’s someone who helps to create true excitement for

learning! (I should know, she taught at St. Mary while I was there for my last two

years.) I hope you’ll make her feel just as welcome as you made me feel last year!

This will be the last Jagwire for June and with that in mind, Happy Father’s Day, this

Sunday, to all of the St. Antoninus School Dads! I’m sure you all feel very blessed. I

hope that everyone in Grades K-8 continues visiting our Little Libraries out in front and

enjoys their summer vacations. Erica Steinbeck and I are looking forward to some time

to relax soon as well. We will be returning to our offices, beginning Monday, August

2nd, should you need our assistance. I look forward to seeing all of you at weekend

masses, and at any/all parish events. Stay healthy and know you’re always in my

prayers!

Yours in Christ, Marianne Rosemond
