WELCOME TO FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

We are thrilled that you are here and hope that you feel at home among us! Below is a description of the vision of our church and how we wish to see persons become fully devoted followers of Christ by taking three important steps.

COME: We want to see persons come and discover the difference that a personal relationship with Christ can make. We offer two worship services on Sunday mornings: a contemporary service at 8:30 a.m. featuring our praise team and a traditional service at 10:50 a.m. featuring our adult choir. During both services, a message is delivered by our pastor that is Biblically-based and Christ-centered with an invitation being extended at the conclusion of each service for persons to make a decision for Christ.

CONNECT: We believe that persons grow spiritually when they connect with others and are a part of a small group where meaningful relationships can be formed and the truth of God’s word can be taught. These small groups or Sunday School classes are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m.. For more information on finding a class that is best for you, please see any one of our staff members or our Sunday School Director, Bill Hendricks.

COMMIT: We ask our members to commit to serve by using their time, talents, and treasures to minister to others and help proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community, country, and world. For a list of ministry and mission opportunities where you can get plugged in to serve, see our website at www.lawrenceburgfbc.org.

HOW DO I JOIN FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH?

An invitation is extended at the conclusion of each

service for persons to join our church. Persons can join

either by baptism after a public profession of faith in

Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, by letter from another

Southern Baptist Church, or by statement that they

have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and have been

biblically baptized meaning their baptism was by

immersion and was a symbol of their salvation.
