Dear audience!

Congratulation with this your copy of the Junge Hunde Festival programmes! Guard it well!! This programme is to be your dear companion for more than a week and be the key to strange, funny and never-before-seen things at the three stages indicated in the overview. Junge Hunde are Young Dogs and they bark loud because they have something to say but they also bite be-cause they are not in the mood to say it nicely. They are young dogs because they are fairly new in what they do and they are as eager as a puppy to communicate.

Please let yourself be bitten!

Jesper de Neergaard,Artistic Manager of Junge Hunde DK.

The Junge Hunde Festival is made possibleby Kunstrådets scenekunstudvalg,Nordisk kultufond,Region Midtjylland,Århus Kommune, BG-Fonden,Skuespillerforbundets blankbåndsmidler.

I will in this piece play with a f

alling moment; -a falling

body, -a mind in a falling process

. I will focus on the

physicality and with this “falling

physicality” try to grab

an atmosphere of the emotional pic

ture when you are in an

“in between” situation.

There are two on stage, two bodies, t

wo indeviduals.

Everyone has experienced embarrassin

g moments, but for

some people these embarrassing mom

ents are so closely

knit that they become a continuous

state of being.

It´s uncomfortable and limiting and

sometimes the only

way out of it is to get in and embra

ce it. In this

psychosomatic thriller you will enco

unter two female

characters, the ever present Embarra

ssed Army and a

calm rock band. It´s time to genuine

ly

celebrate embarrassment. Entré Scenen

You enter a room dominated by a groaning dinner table. The large, round table itself is empty, but there is vivid gesticulation, hands grabing and pouring into glasses, food being consumed. All projected from above. A moving “still leben”.The four chairs around the table are each equiped with headphones and you can now take a seat as a participating observer at a 70’th year birthday celebration. Thecreated soundscapes attempts toexceed the physical borders ofmaterialism and thus confrontyou with yourself as yourself within another.

NOTHING IS HAPPENING isactually a self-explaining

piece. But to give at least a little informa-

tion in advance: It stages a tautology in order to

produce a paradox. And by doing this, it questions

where and when action starts in theatre.

NOTHING IS HAPPENING is a work by André Eiermann and Christina Hänsel (Parabiont). They attended

Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen (Germany) and Bergen (Norway). Currently André Eiermann stud-ies for a doctorate and Christina Hänsel works in the department for radioplay and media-art

at Bayerischer Rundfunk. Additionally they de-sign sculptures and are a band.

Entertainment Island 1 - An array

of gestures, movements and sounds

emanating from the entertainment

industry are presented in this

energetic performance unveiling

the mechanisms of popular culture.

“We spent weeks doing funny walks and

telling bad jokes while pulling out

false limbs and making funny faces.

The pretend stuttering was the final

straw. We were stuck and not the

least funny. We had to face what

we knew from the start: we are not

entertainers. We do not deal in

entertainment. We deal in structures. Concept, script and produ

Women, War and Showbiz is discussed and staged

through the life and work of the american vocal

trio The Andrews Sisters. The performance focus

on how we in the West observes, absorbes and

reacts to the state of the world. More precise,

how we as young, newly educated stage performers

can and must comment on this world; we are merely

players without ability to grasp the whole

complexity of it. Some are dancing

smiling or singing, others are

watching. While the world is on fire!

A movement through a patchwork of real and percei-ved universes that examines the conflict and para-dox of being a woman in a world that allows all roles and definition of you as a human being. It’sa break with current trends and old traditions to find the essence of one self. It’s about beingalone in a world where everything is on offer.

The title of the performance is borrowed fromOrhan Pamuk’s novel The Black Book, however there are no other similarities between the novel andthe performance.

During my residence at Eira33- Lisbon, I created a storyabout an authority unable torule over anything at all,as it is placed on a huge, vast, empty space. I wasinterested in searchingwhich could be the actionsof such a master and whatkind of rituals he wouldcreate when missing thepartner which activateshis power. How would sucha master react when meeting, one day, a very dumb sheep, for example?

How do the things you smell, see, hear, feel or taste create

your idea about reality? Can an unusual collage of these inputs

surprise you and allow different reali- ties to appear? We create

a small performative journey, where the audience is allowed to be

the main character. We work towards increasing their sensitivity

and creating cracks/gaps in their normal way of perceiving

allowing them to experience the mundane in a new way.
