DPS, Bokaro student wins Kalpana Chawla National
Scholar Award
ShreshthaRupam Dwivedi of Class V amongst the youngest to win the
award Competition for students of classes V to IX
Shreshtha Rupam Dwivedi of Class V from DPS, Bokaro was awarded with a token
cheque of Rs. 51,000/- for her achievement- second runners up in the Kalpana Chawla
National Scholar (KCNS) Exam 2017 by the team KCNS. She is amongst the youngest to
have won the award in the competition, qualifying the online test and Rapid-fire round
with flying colours.
KCNS Exam is conducted by Educharya to provide all categories of participants an
opportunity to participate in NASA Camp, though the scholarship is being awarded to
qualified 21 winners.
The team of KCNS specially visited the school to congratulate Shreshtha along with the
Director & Principal of DPS, Bokaro, Dr.Hemlata S Mohan. They commended the
school’s efforts in identifying child prodigies and nurturing their talents to fruition. They
also acknowledged the role of the teachers and the parents in the overall development of
the students.
Dr. Mohan congratulated Shreshtha on her success and wished her all the best for the
future as well.Under the guidance of the teachers and with the cooperation of the parents,
students like her can attain greater heights of excellence. She also suggested the students
to participate in co-curricular activities for all round development and high achievements.
