TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:-Reset the servers when computer programs go down -Confirm reservations for rooms according to the room's availability issued by the –Revenue Manager accords the rates that are currently in effect and arranges the billing according to hotel procedures-Update the inventory extranet immediately and accurately if there are any changes-Send out confirmation slips/guest folios promptly if requested-Handle any request for amenities or transportation promptly and accurately-Update guest history records, travel agency/company records and account receivable records on a regular basis-Handle the reservation correspondence accurately and neatly-Prepare any Reservation report needed by staff and/or management

Reservations Agent (October 2015-March 2016) -Responds to inquiries from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by telephone, email and fax -Tracks future room availability on the basis of reservations -Provides guests with information about the property, room types, rates and packages available to them -Knows the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout -Prepares list of expected arrivals for the Front Office -Processes third party billing for guests due out of the hotel and advance reservation deposits when appropriate -Consistently updates room availability through all distribution channels -Communicates reservation information to the front desk and management when necessary -Corresponds with guests to learn their needs in order to provide an outstanding guest experience -Promotes goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, mangers, and fellow employees
