Flexible and productiveFor print jobs with added value

Packaging printing has always been one of the core competencies of KBA-Sheetfed. It is at the same time a future market. The combination of packaging and digital print, however, is still in its infancy. Against this background, we have made it our mission to develop an inkjet press which will also satisfy the demands of brand manufacturers under the changing market conditions of the future. Not simply another inkjet press for the mainstream, but one capable of delivering print jobs with added value. The most productive and most cost-efficient hybrid printing system on the emerging market for digital packaging printing: The KBA VariJET 106.

The packaging market faces some major challenges: Only a tiny percentage of all packaging products retain their design for more than a year. The number of different versions of folding cartons for identical products continues to grow unabated. Selling thrives on targeted, sometimes fast moving campaigns, and the packaging is the only medium for communication between the product and the customer. Here, you might need to add details of a competition to a folding carton, while elsewhere there is some quite different aspect which awaits pro-motion. With the VariJET 106, you are optimally prepared for all future trends.

At the same time, the VariJET 106 presents you and your customers with a whole host of new opportunities: You can offer infotainment packaging which links consumers with the virtual realms of the Internet. You can produce folding cartons with local references or for different distribution channels within one and the same region. The production of seasonal packaging vari-ants is one of your simplest exercises. Or what about target group specific packaging? The packaging transports the character of a brand name and encourages new purchases. There are practically no limits to the creative possibilities. And you are ready to real-ize the packaging designer’s innovative ideas.

The VariJET 106 is furthermore able to combine the strengths of digital inkjet with those of classic offset printing and inline finishing. Coating, cold foil transfer and printing before the inkjet unit, coating, printing and die cutting thereafter – all processes can be inte-grated flexibly to match your individual job structure. For print jobs with added value, for the packaging of the future. Join us on this exciting journey.
