walk home * the long way. e will be taking "ublic trans"ort for a very long time inthe future.

$"ecifically we will be looking at news concerning the %-risis on Mawa&. lus wegot a bit about the secret %/"eration $traw )antha& and finally the true storybehind what really ha""ened when 0he Kestrel Minority moved ead1uarter from0atooine to Alderaan * which you will find in the %)roken ourglass.&

)esides the news stories, we have been able to get in touch with a few "eo"le tomake interviews. $ome of these will be with faces you recogni2e, and othersmight not be so familiar to you.

0he interviews were brought to us by our +ournalist Ro'ana Darling. Ms. Darlinghave recently gone missing, and if anyone see her around, or hear any newsconcerning her whereabouts, we would a""reciate a heads u" 3we still need to"ay her for the work she did4. !or future interviews we have had to em"loy adecommissioned interrogation droid * who swears all his wea"ons have beenremoved and5or de*activated, and according to himself he +ust loooooves to ask6uestions. Crisis on Mawan

 A "olitical turmoil on core*world "lanet Mawan escalated to a full*blown crisiswhen a grou" of terrorists managed a cou" d9etat on "lanet9s ca"ital city #aatanon the eve of #ight of the 0orches. 0he strike at government was clearly carefullyconsidered and long "lanned, and #aatan sank into chaos in :; hours. Aided by#aatan9s long*lived criminal organi2ations, the fanatics took control of the streetsand soon held the whole city hostage.

0he true emergency of the situation 6uickly dawned when the fanatics shut downthree massive shield generators, usually "rotecting the ca"ital from the comet$I!*

Bhar >arad she was able to infiltrate the location of the last generator alone, withher stealth e6ui"ment.

Des"ite the attem"t to reach the generators unnoticed, Kestrels faced heavyresistance. Regardless they managed to make it to the generators well in advanceof their deadline. 0he first two generators were easily turned on and "rotected byReka, Dabrin and #esalia and #eknivar. 0he last generator was reached by0yerran, Kae9rin and Adal6uinn slightly after the others but after being switchedback online, something detonated in the old "ower "lant and the team needed toflee the colla"sing com"le'. owever, the shield stayed functionable as the comet"assed the ca"ital. Kestrels retreated 6uickly, and re"ublic military landed shortlyafter, sei2ing the ca"ital back from the terrorists and criminals.

0he official holonews re"orted of #aatan9s miraculous survival, followed by lot ofdebate of what had actually ha""ened. Many sus"ected terrorists had bailed outin the end, or believed a secret s"ecial forces of the military had managed toca"ture the generators in the last minute...

Operation Straw Bantha

#ar $haddaa9s holonews re"ortC the utt -artel has e'ecuted a crackdown on aslave trader head6uarters, hidden in the lower levels of the city, near #etworkDistrict. #o longer shall slavers run ram"ant and "rey on our valued citi2ens, statethe re"resentatives of the cartel. 0he rumours however s"eak of a small grou"making their way through the shady streets on the day of the raid, swee"ingeverything out of their way with blasters, grenades and oddly enough, lightsabers.#o comment has been received from the edi /rder whether knights would havebeen involved in hel"ing the raid.

More astonishment has awoken that several im"erial sentry droids that werefound badly trashed en route, resulting in sus"icion if this was a slaver crackdownat all. #o re"orters were allowed on location during the raid but a""arently therewas an e'tensive fire and several criminals were seen being brought out in singedand sooty clothing. 0he word is, the authorities found the hideout by following acurious track of cocktail "last straws, a""arently originating from a "o"ular cantinaof the ower romenade, $li""ery $lo"es. 0he results are clear, however. $incethe arrest of slavers, authorities have managed to track down many citi2ens thatwere re"orted missing. Many of the recent disa""earances on #ar $haddaa are

now believed to be indeed a result of these criminals o"erating behind the scenesbut the utt -artel has assured the citi2ens that the threat is over and beenconcluded.

Broken Hourglass

/n Bhellday, at the eighth hour of the day, an alarm rang through the securecomm channel of the Kestrel Minority, a signal originating from the grou"9s oldhead6uarters on Anchorhead. 0he base9s security was somehow threatened butmostly Kestrels flew in without knowing what they would encounter. After having a6uick rende2vous in the s"ace"ort, Adal6uinn, Dabrin, Rhoo, in'ie, Rialla,Karelion and -ar"enter rushed the u"stairs room of the cantina, to find amysterious mercenary girl having broken o"en something looking like aswitchboard on the wall. Kestrels 6uickly moved to block her esca"e andrecovered several datadiscs, something she had a""arently tried to steal from thelocker. er innocent claims of having been cleaning did not fool the Kestrels andeventually she ended u" dro""ing her act and revealing that the Minority was lateand most of the discs were already de"arting the "lanet.

in'ie sliced into the s"ace"ort9s database to find records of any cargo that daybut instead found a com"laint of unauthori2ed landing outside Anchorhead nearthe settlement. Rhoo also managed to find a comm after searching the mercenaryand in'ie was able to trace the call to e'act coordinates, very near to the "lacewhich the com"laint had originated from. Kestrels didn9t dare to leave Rialla toguard the mercenary even disarmed but mounted s"eeders together and headedto the desert, ho"ing to catch the thieves in time. 0he grou" managed to find aband of mercenaries at the location and tried to e'change the girl for the discsthey "ossessed. owever, suddenly but not une'"ectedly, the mercenaries

o"ened fire and tried to take off with the girl Kestrels had ca"tured.

0hey managed to release her amidst the chaos and ho" on their s"eeders,though Kestrels were right on their tails. A chase through the Dune $ea followed,until Kestrels finally cornered them near a desolate sandcrawler. 0he mercenariesdidn9t s"are the blaster fire and Kestrels were soon fighting as much for discs astheir lives. owever, when the scales started slowly turning on Kestrels9 behalf,the mercenaries ado"ted des"erate tactics, in the end detonating a fragmentgrenade along with their remaining brothers. Kestrels got through with their liveseven if many sustained in+uries. 0he discs laid scattered amongst "arts of whatwas left of mercenaries. Adal6uinn then took Rialla and Rhoo back to Anchorhead

for medical attention while Dabrin with Karelion and others stayed behind togather what they had been fighting for.

How did you first encounter the Kestrel Minority? How did you come to oin themF

I was introduced by my master $e"h Gesseere and she took me in as a member.

!hat would you say is the most e"citin# thin# you have done with them$$$so far?

Eell the only thing I took "art in, what was not some hel" to others but somethingwe did as a grou"C a data rescuing mission what was taken from or former base ofo"eration. I got a sni"er shoot in the first row of attack while concentrating toshield Adal6uinn and lost consciousness so don9t really know about much whatha""ened there.

Ms. Darling also got the chance to meet u" with the mysterious %ack& for dinner. According to Ms. Darling, ack turned out to be 6uite the dashing gentleman, andshe did not sto" talking about him for several weeks after the interview 3also, whatdid you guys eatF 0he e'"enses on the dinner was #/0 small Red.4

Kestrel MinorityF I did not +oin to them. I do not like to "lay su"erhero in our littlegala'y. 0oo much su"er*monster there, so it would be unhealthful, but they were asym"athetic branch of enthusiastic individuals. Ee had a common goal in #aar$hadaa.

ike I said we had only one mission together in #aar $hadaa. 0here were somekidna""ed girls to save, and I could not refuse this situation. Ehat could I sayF8verybody has faults.

I am Adal6uinn 8ndris, knight of the +edi order. 0hough you would hear my wholename very little these days. Most of my friends +ust call me Adal or... Mr. 0ea, ifyou9re Dabrin 0aheer.

I was born on -silla. )efore the war, I worked mostly as a di"lomat but now I ammostly needed as a healer and a medic. My favourite food is caamasian vine leafrolls but I like certain reci"e of chocolate flavoured biscuits much as well. !ordrinks... I actually think I don9t drink much else than tea. I do not like combat but I

carry a lightsaber as a symbol of 0he /rder.

0he very first time I got hinted about Kestrels, was from ca"tain $lide. It wasduring a rather ha2ardous flight to -oruscant with him and ru. ater, $erra toldme of an organi2ation that could use my hel" and eventually she and #ekniinvited me to meet everyone. I was convinced by Kaetha, this way I could achievemore than before.

/f our 9adventures9 I en+oyed our little e'cursion to )elsavis, in search of a relicthat blew off a facility on Ilum and landed on the other side of the gala'y. I wasintrigued by this old item, though in the end, fighting what it ke"t inside "roved to
