1. Kids For Kids Concert 19 August 2014The Hill School choir
joined choirs from other local schools to perform in the Pukekohe
Town Hall on the 19th of August.Jackie Clarke performed 17 songs in
the Everything Is Ka Pai concert. Songs featured included Kiwi
favourites, both old and new.The choir were excited about the
performance and it has created many great memories for them. I was
very proud of the energy and enthusiasm they put into their
performance, and also of the way in which they were Kaitiaki
(positive role models ) for Hill School. Some of the monies raised
through the concert will go towards supporting World Vision, so the
choir has also contributed to the world community by giving up
their own time (lunch hours) to rehearse in order to help others
who may be less fortunate than they are. I am very proud of them
and continue to be appreciative of parents who support and
encourage them. Thank you very much.At the Tuesday morning
rehearsal one of our pupils was selected to create poi actions to
the song Poi E and then to perform with twoother students at the
evening performance. We were so proud of her.Three other choir
members got to be part of the Mod Squad, throughout the singing of
that kiwi classic Shes A Mod. Theyperformed with real stage
presence.Thanks Choirwe had a great time!Wendy Bates
