BLARE GOOCH

Blare Gooch is thirteen years old and is twenty-five percent Haitian. He has always felt close to Haiti and wanted to give the kids in Haiti that lost family and homes stuffed animals, so they have something to love.

PROBLEM

The problem that Blare noticed was after the horrible Haiti earthquake he realized that kids at Haiti had nothing left. Therefore, he started an organization called “Blare’s Bears for Haiti.” What his organization does is it collects stuffed animals and sends them to children in Haiti.

SOLUTION

Blare’s solution was to send all the stuffed animals he collected, which was over 50,000, to Haiti so the kids have something to love and have. At first his goal was 2000, but he collected over 10,000 in the first week.

WHAT WE CAN DO

Other kids and I can help by taking our old stuffed animals or buying new ones and sending them to “Blare’s Bears for Haiti” to help Blare out.
