Crazy Concoctions (June 16 - 20) 9:00am - 12:00pm Icky, squishy, mushy, and gushy! We’ll mix up special dough, pastes, paints and create the coolest science projects in Rutherford County!

A Sense of Wonder (June 9 - 13) 9:00am - 12:00pm If your child is fascinated with the world around them, then this camp will be one to keep their curiosities alive! Each day we will highlight a different sense through activities that will put you in touch with your “sensory” side.

Rising Grades K - 2

Art Medium Mania (August 4 - 8) 1:00pm - 4:00pm Campers will create unique works of art using different forms of art mediums. From crayons and markers, to shaving cream and mud,

campers will discover how different forms of art mediums can be used to create a beautiful masterpiece.

Crafty Creations (July 14 - 18) 9:00am - 12:00pm Spend part of your summer designing and crafting projects at KidSenses! Campers will work together to design a one-of-a-kind craft creation! At the end of camp, our crafts will be on display for all to see!

CSI: KidSenses (August 11 - 15) 1:00 – 4:00 A crime has been committed at the museum, and we need your help to solve it! We will be collecting evidence and conducting forensic experiments to determine who committed the crime.

YUCK-OLOGY (July 7 - 11) 1:00 - 4:00 EEEWWW! Campers will have a blast dissecting owl pellets, investigating animal scat, and learning about the human body. We will also create icky edible snacks. Recommended for those with a strong stomach!

Rising Grades 3 - 5

Chemistry Capers (July 21 - 25) 1:00 – 4:00 Put on your safety goggles! We are going to explore the three states of matter and create some really cool science experiments. From test tubes and beakers to colorful mixtures, this camp will be a BANG!

Insect Safari (July 28 - August 1) 1:00pm - 4:00pm Are you a six-legged scientist? Each day we’ll be living among some of the most misunderstood creatures on Earth. Learn how insects grow, feed, and protect themselves through hands-on activities and observations. By the end of the week, you’ll become quite the expert and may possible discover a new species of insect!

Nature Explorers (June 23 - 27) 9:00am – 12:00pm Do you have what it takes to become a KidSenses’ Nature Explorer? Join us as we learn about the importance of the environment though stories, songs, games, arts, and crafts. We will also spend some time in the KidSenses’ Discovery Garden exploring plants and insects!

2014 Summer Camp GuidelinesFood • Snacks will be provided each day during camp. • Please accurately complete the health information form and

note any allergies. !Camper Guidelines KidSenses reserves the right to ask a camper not to return due to behavioral problems. If a camper is asked to leave, camp fees will be forfeited and no refund will be issued. !Supervision • KidSenses offers an educator-to-child ratio of 1:8. • The maximum number of children allowed in each summer

camp is 15, minimum 5. • All camp activities take place at KidSenses Children’s

InterACTIVE Museum, 172 N. Main St., Rutherfordton, NC unless otherwise noted. !!

Camp Fees $65 Members

$80 Non-Members !Registration Dates • Registration begins Saturday, February 1, 2014. • A limited number of scholarships are available for students

in rising grades K-5 who demonstrate financial need. Please call 828-286-2120 for more information. !

Registration Process • Register online at www.kidsenses.com or by calling

828-286-2120. • Register your child for the camp that is appropriate for the

grade your child will enter in Summer/Fall 2014. • Pre-Kindergarten campers must reach their 4th birthday by

the first day of registered program. All campers must be potty trained. No exceptions.

• A deposit of $40 must be made at the time of registration. !Cancellation Policy • Cancellations made three weeks prior the start of camp are

eligible for a refund, minus a $20 service fee per child per camp. Cancellations not made within three weeks will not receive a refund.

• In case of insufficient registration, KidSenses Children’s InterACTIVE Museum reserves the right to cancel the program one week prior to the start of a camp session. In the event of a camp’s cancellation, participants will receive a full refund. !
