Kikongooni End of Year Mission Report, December 2012 Dear Brethren, I would like to take a moment to reflect on and be thankful for a great year in 2012. As we continue to carry out God’s plan for his Kingdom in 2013, we look back at 2012 and all we see is his faithfulness. God’s grace was abundant and his provisions were made known to us through YOU dear brethren who continue to sacrificially partner with us to spread the gospel in our community. We hope this end year report encourages you that your efforts in God’s Kingdom are not in vain but a far bright and greater future awaits you all that no eye has seen or mind can fathom! See 2012 ministry highlights;

1. Medical Clinic: Our quarterly medical clinics continue to serve and meet the health needs of the

orphans and the congregation. We extended health care to over 100 cases (orphans and church

members) last year. One of the most notable end of year medical clinic activity was held in

November 2012, over forty (40) children and about eighteen (18) adult church members were

attended to. See pictures below.

2. Orphans: Through your support we were able to provide food, water, clothes, school fees and

supplies to all the orphans all year round. These God’s children woke up every day without

worrying where their next meal was going to come from or whether they will have school fees!

They now can dream of realizing their God given potential because they truly believe their

father in heaven cares about them just as he has promised in his word. This was only possible

because believers like you answered the call and were truly God’s hand and feet demonstrating

Christ’s love for fellow brethren. See pictures of orphans smiling and church members receiving

supplies all year.

Commissioning private tuition for the Orphans and Church youth: The Church leadership

commissioned tutoring program which started in earnest in the year under review. This effort will go a

long way to empower these children through education and unlocking the intellect potential within

them. This noble exercise is supported by mature youth who have volunteered their services and time to

make a difference in the lives of these children. The funds to meet the tuition costs are donated by our

beloved brethren of Romance Church of Christ. See the elaborate pictures below.

Youth & Women Seminar: Youth of Kikongooni CoC were invited for a youth seminar in August 2012.

The seminar covered important topics like overcoming teenage challenges and servant hood. This was a

life changing seminar for the youth as many declared that they wish to have such seminars each year. In

August 2012, women were invited for a seminar which was undertaken for three days. The expenses for

this seminar were fully paid by the Romance Church of Christ, glory be to the Lord.

Sunday School Ministry: This is a very important ministry as Sunday school children form a formidable

foundation for a strong Church of tomorrow. Some church elders and deacons have joined the Sunday

school teachers to ensure that these children are brought up in the word in the best possible way.

3. Evangelism: Sixteen souls were added to the body of Christ through baptism, this is as a result

of evangelism effort by shepherds of the Church. Further, the Kikongooni Church of Christ has

extended influence of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ by supporting Kwa Ngumu Church of

Christ in many ways. See baptism and community evangelism pictures

Infrastructure development: In an effort to ensure security of the church property, we put up a 10ft

long wall fence around the property and a single gate entrance.

In closing, we are thankful for all the friends of Kikongooni, as you can see; through your support God is doing great things for our community; salvation for the lost and hope to the less fortunate. 2013 is already here and the momentum for God’s work continues with the urgency to reach out to the lost. Next month (March), our country will go for national elections and we ask that you pray for our country that the elections will be peaceful. Five years ago, we had violence that left over 2 million people dead, we pray that no such violence will rock our country and rob us peace. Despite all these, we know for sure that our God is faithful to carry us through 2013 and even unto the end of the age. Our prayer for all of you is to stay strong and defend the faith in your country, also we are praying for your divine health, provision and abundant blessings. God bless you all, In Christ service,

Georgina and Bernard on behalf of Kikongooni Church of Christ
