Introduction With the KIP iVIEW & iPRINT, you can view image files and print them using KIP print systems. Easily receive print files via e-mail or cloud apps such as Dropbox to enhance your mobile printing productivity. In addition iVIEW & iPRINT allows users to view and manage the print queue of up to five KIP Systems Features include:

• View Files on iPad • Print Files from iPad • Print PDF, TIFF, PLT, DWF, JPEG • Scaling, Media & Folding Settings • View & Manage Print Queues • Connect to up to 5 KIP Printers • Supports iPad 1, 2 & 3

Installation The KIP iVIEW/iPRINT

Option 1 - PC 1. From a PC open iTunes and log in to your account.

2. Once logged in open the iTunes Store. In the search window search for “KIP iVIEW & iPRINT” in under iPad Apps.

3. Select Download, App will begin downloading.

4. Next connect the iPad to your pc and install your new App.

Note: Please see your iPad manual for assistance with this step if necessary.

Option 2 – iPad 1. From an iPad open iTunes and log in to your account.

2. Once logged in open the iTunes Store. In the search window search for “KIP iVIEW & iPRINT” in under iPad Apps.

3. Select Install, App will begin downloading and installing.

Once the KIP iView & iPRINT app has installed it will appear on you iPad

Configuration 1. On the iPad go to the Settings Icon and open this

up.

2. Once the setting window opens select the KIP iVIEW & iPRINT from your available applications

3. For Printer 1 set Enabled to On

4. For Name set this to the desired name for the KIP Printer being connected.

5. For the IP Address/Host Name set the KIP Printer IP Address or Host Name.

6. If a Folder is available and will be used set this to On otherwise leave it turned off

KIP iVIEW & iPRINT Main Screen

1 Connected Printer – This button displays the connected KIP Printer. Selecting this button will show all available KIP Printers to choose from

2 PrintNET Button – Selecting this button will open KIP PrintNET and allow a user to see the queue and what is currently in it to be printed and allow an Administrator to manage the Queue.

3 Camera Button – If the iPad has a camera on it selecting the camera button will launch the camera function of the iPad.

4 File Selection Button – select this button to look for available files to print

5 Printer Options – Select this button to make adjustments to the print output prior to printing.

6 Print Button – Select this button to send the file to the printer.

Using the KIP iVIEW & iPRINT Application 1. Once the desired printers have been configured

(see Configuration above) they will appear in the Connected Printers button. Any configured printer may be selected to print to.

2. Select the desired printer and it will be displayed on this button.

3. Select the File Selection button and this will open the photos and available files to select from.

a. If the file is an attachment in an e-mail hold your finger on the attachment until a window opens. Select Open In and select the KIP iVIEW & iPRINT icon.

b. If using Dropbox, open the Dropbox application, select a file, select the Open in button (top Right corner) and choose the KIP iVIEW & iPRINT icon.

4. Once the document open in the KIP iVIEW & iPRINT application make desired changes and select the “Print” button

Select the Printer Options Button for these options:

a. Copies – Select how many copies will be printed.

b. Media Type – Select the media the output will be printed on. This window displays what is currently loaded in the printer.

c. Scaling – 100% prints the selected file at 100%. 50% prints the selected file at 50%. Auto Zoom scales the image to the selected roll with by a variable length.

d. Folding – If a folder is present select “Yes” to activate folding.

5. When all options have been set select the “Print” button in the bottom Right corner to send the file. When the file has been sent a “Print Successful” message will be displayed.

View/Manage the print queue Selecting the “PrintNET” button will allow a user to view the print queue to see where there file is in the queue

If logged in as an Administrator the ability to manage the print queue is enabled.

Please Note, the PrintNET function of the KIP iVIEW & iPRINT application is strictly for viewing and managing the Print Queue and is not used for printing to the KIP printer. Printing is to be done through the KIP iVIEW & iPRINT Application.
