Our packs come in 5 different sizes and each gown is paired up with carefully sized items to compliment each gowns. This guide is what the measurements we use for each size, however if your item is between these sizes we will match it to the closest in size. You may need to alter the patterns or stitch numbers slightly depending on your tension as this is unique you. When making blankets please make sure that the holes are small enough that your finger doesn't not fit through it. Hats

Tiny Knitted Hat This pattern will make egg sized hats. DK * size 8 or 9 needles Cast on 28 stitches Rows 1-3. Knit Rows 4- 15. Starting with a knit row do 16 rows of stocking stitch ( knit a row, purl a row ) Row 16. Knit 2 together (14 stitches) Row 17. Purl 2 together (7 stitches) Cut the wool and draw it up through the remaining stitches and fasten off, then sew the back seam up. Add a pom pom if you wish and you are done.

Diamond Bonnet Pattern SIZE 1 AND 2 Can be knitted with 4ply and on size 11 (3mm) needles or with DK on size 11 (3mm) needle which comes out as the second size. Cast on 41 sts Rows 1-4. Knit Row 5. K1, * y.fwd, sl1, k2tog, p.s.s.o, y.fwd, K3 repeat from * to last 4 sts, y.fwd, sl1, K2tog, psso, y.fwd, K1. Row 6. Booties

Diamond Bootie Pattern The pattern for the bootees is the same for each size you just need to match the size of the needles you have used for your bonnet. Cast on 17 stitches. Rows 1-4. Knit Row 5. K1, * y.fwd, sl1, k2tog, p.s.s.o, y.fwd, K3 repeat from * to last 4 sts, y.fwd, sl1, K2tog, psso, y.fwd, K1. Row 6. Purl Row 7. * K2tog, y.fwd, K1, y.fwd, K2 tog,t.b.l , K1, repeat from * ending K2tog, y.fwd, K1, y.fwd, K2tog.t.b.l Row 8. Purl Row 9. K4, * y.fwd, sl1, K2tog, p.s.s.o, y.fwd, K3, repeat from * ending K1 Row 10. Purl Row 11. K3, * K2tog, y.fwd, K1, y.fwd, K2 tog.t.b.l, K1 repeat from * ending K2 Row 12. Purl Row 13. ( K1, K2tog, K5, K2tog ) twice, K1 To make up Use a flat seam and join seams. Thread ribbon through eyelets at ankle ( if you choose).

Booties DK, size 6 needles, Gauge 4 sts = 1" 7 rows=1" cast on 22 stitches Rows 1 - 7 - garter stitch (knit back and forth) Row 8: bind off 1st 2 sts, knit remainder Rows 9 - 11: repeat row 8 Rows 12 - 18: garter stitch Row 19: Bind off all remaining stitches. Cut yarn 10" long, thread onto needle. To Finish Booties: weave yarn tail from top of bootie, down inside to top of foot, sew around foot top and toe then bottom of bootie. Fold top down and leave it open for ease of placing on feet.

Blankets

Sands Blanket with lace edge Easy Baby Blanket with Lace Option This lace border makes the easy blanket very spe-cial but we are happy for you to knit to the basic pattern. (You can use any white wool and needles to suit, to give a soft drape). The basic pattern knit to approx a 24” square. It will always come square. BASIC BLANKET You will need about 200gm of White Double Knit Wool and 4mm size 8 (UK) needles. Cast on 1 stitch Next row – Make the one stitch into two stitches. Next row – Knit 1, into the next stitch make another, 3 stitches on needle. Continue to knit, ALWAYS knit the first stitch and into the 2nd stitch make another. Only increase this way at the BEGIN-NING of a row. Continue until you have almost come to the end of the 100gm ball. Knit 1 row plain. Next row:- Knit 1, Knit 2 together, Knit to end of row. Continue this way, always knit the 1st stitch then decrease into the next stitch by knitting 2 together until 1 stitch re-mains. You should now have a neat square. LACE EDGING/BORDER Using Double Knit and size 8 (UK) needles Cast on 8 stitches Row 1 (Wrong side) Slip 1, Cherished Gowns UK Knit 1, (Yarn fwd knit 2 tog) twice, Yarn fwd, Knit 2 (9 sts) Rows 2, 3, and 6. Slip 1 Knit to the end. Row 3. Slip 1, knit 2 (yarn fwd knit 1 tog) twice. Yarn fwd Knit 1 (10 sts) Row 5. Slip 1, knt 3 (yarn fwd knit 2 tog) twice. Yarn fwd Knit 2 (11 sts) Row 7.
