The new sinus retractor is a revo-lutionary development. The end ofthe instrument is designed asym-metrically, consequently there isthe R-version for right and the L-version for left. The sinus retrac-tor is also suitable for retraction inthe anterior region, therefore onlythese two instruments are neces-sary for the complete upper jaw.

The retractors are protected by law.

Retraction of the mucoperiosteal flap during lateral sinus window pre-paration during lifting the sinus membrane and during bone augmen-tation with or without simultaneous implant placement will befacilitated by the development of this new instrument because the mu-cosal flap will be secured by the “shark-teeth”. It will therefore nolonger be necessary to press the retractor firmly against the jaw bone.

Two marker points on the retractor blade – at a distance of 14 mm –allow an exact positioning of the sinus window. Additionally, the shapeof the instrument end prevents the instrument from sliding into thesinus window and the anatomical handle ensures the assistant needsonly moderate retraction force. This optimises working efficiency ac-cording to the slogan: optimised security, simplicity and efficiency.
