What kind of sport is netball?Netball is a very popular sport for girls and women in our region.

Nearly in every town in our region there a teams for young girls and women.

This sport is a competition between two teams.

It is important to play together, because everyone in the team is important and also the weaker players must be included into the game.

There are many successful teams in our region, also German masters!

Where do you play netball?

In summer it is played outdoors on lawn and in winter in a sportshall.

Rules and how to play netballIts development, derived from early versions of basketball, began in England in the 1890s. Netball is a ball sport played between two teams of seven players.

The object of the game is for teams to score goals,

by passing a ball and shooting it into their team's goal ring.

During general play, a player with the ball can take no more than one step before passing it.

You must pass the ball or shoot for goal within three seconds.

The team with the most goals scored wins.
