Ms. Mohini Bakshi believes that a child is God’s gift to man and needs to be
nurtured with love, care and tenderness.
Her vision is to provide an atmosphere of discovery, inquiry, learning, expression
and communication to every child, so that the society formed years later, will be a
more culturally and morally educated society, and that, in turn, would lead to a
peaceful and harmonious co-existence.
Mr. Hardeep Bakshi is the enlightened source who leads with a single-minded
dedication towards the set goals. With a deep-rooted commitment to education, he
believes in providing the students with the cutting edge in technology along with a
strong foundation in life skills. Over the years, he has effortlessly played different
roles in the form of a guide, parent, friend and mentor, as per the needs of his learners
and faculty.
Ms. Moneeta Bakshi aims to provide children with learning opportunities which will
help them to develop the skills and the knowledge needed to succeed academically
while also enabling them to grow as joyful and creative individuals. She also believes
in combining western creativity with the Indian diligence and thereby create an

launch the first Newsletter of Seedling
Modern Public School, which captures the
momentous journey of Seedlites in the
academic session 2015-’16 and 2016-'17
for the month of April and May. The
introduction of our Newsletter is a way to
make parents fully aware of what our
Students have accompl ished and
information regarding the goals we are all
working to achieve. This periodic
newsletter will give an insight of our
progress towards this preparation. The
achievement of our loving children in
c u r r i c u l a r , c o - c u r r i c u l a r a n d
extracurricular activities will be highlighted.
We want to make it a point of thanking all
the parents for entrusting upon us the
responsibility of teaching and grooming
the i r ch i ldren, thus making them
responsible citizens of the country. We
enjoy having the opportunity to create a '
family atmosphere in our school and
recognise, appreciate and applaud the

GILMPSE OF ACTIVITIES 2015-'16
Inter School Competition at Seedling
The much awaited and exciting Inter School Competition was held at Seedling Modern Public School on 1st September 2015. Renowned schools of Udaipur participated with full zeal & enthusiasm, and made the event a mega success. The competition catered to various levels wherein the participants showcased their talent under three categories.
A) Science Quiz Competition. B) Enactment. C) Mask- Bedecking Competition. The Winning trophy was bagged by the host school.
Art of Pottery: "Being creative is
not a hobby. It’s a way of life."
The smell of fresh earth, the feel of
wet clay slipping out of hands is
unbelievable. To experience the same
on 6th November 2015, a potter was
called to teach the art of pottery to
students from class Level I-III. The
children were very enthusiastic &
thrilled to learn it. They learnt pottery
with keen interest and made beautiful
articles which they carried home.
Annual Function
Seedling Modern Public School celebrated its 15th Annual Function on 1st November,2015 on the
theme ' Jungle Book'. The school was privileged to have Mr. Arjun Lal Meena, Member of Parliament,
Udaipur as the chief guest and Mr. Rohit Gupta, District Collector, Udaipur and Ms. Bhakti Sharma,
International Open Water Swimmer as guests of honour. The programme commenced with
felicitation of the guests. Principal Ms. Keerti Maken presented the annual report of the school.
It was a proud moment for the school to felicitate the meritorious students and the other students with
outstanding performance in co-curricular activities including sports and art & craft. Students put up a
colourful dance drama 'The Jungle Book' displaying various aspects of human interaction with nature.
The guests appreciated the children for their incredible performance.
Sports Day
The Annual Sports Day of Seedling Modern Public School was held on 19th December. The Chief
Guest Mr. Gajendra Singh Rawat; Deputy Commissioner(BSF) declared the Sports Meet open by
lighting the torch and unfurling the school flag. It was a marvellous sight to see the Sports captain
carrying the torch round the ground. An impressive March Past by the four Houses Soma, Surya,
Varuna, Indra left the spectators spell bound. The oath ceremony was followed by drills, fun races,
obstacle races and relay races where the students displayed their physical power and agility. The
programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony .
The First Alumini Meet
Seedling was proud to have its first
Alumini Meet on 24th December
2015. The Ex-Seedlities graced the
occasion by their presence. They
i n t r o d u c e d t h e m s e l v e s a n d
highlighted the facts that School has
played an integral role in shaping their
personalities. They thanked the school
management and the teachers for this.
They travelled down the memory lane
by moving around the campus. A
token of love was presented by
Director Sir & Principal Madam. Fun
games and the dance floor added
color to the celebrations.
Mega Show “Freedom Is Fun”with Sizzling ‘Sharon Prabhakar’
Sharon Prabhakar, the famous pop singer and theatre personality visited the school and
conducted a three day long workshop and a Mega show “Freedom is Fun” with Seedlites
and other 12 renowned schools of Udaipur from 26th to 28th January 2016. She
motivated the students by her inspirational thoughts and boosted their morale by
revealing the secrets about how to cope up with the challenges in life. As a singing
sensation, she also spread the melody of her magical voice and sang her popular songs like
“I am Alive”, “Dil Waja Marda”, “Ye Mera Dil” etc. Ms Sharon Prabhakar left an indelible mark
in the hearts of the students as well as the parents.
Fantabulous Winter Fete at
S.M.P.S.
To mark the finale of the session 2015-
16, a grand fete was organized on 31st
January 2016. It was open for all.
Variety of eat stalls, rides, exciting fun
games, swings and above all the
scintillating music at the dance floor
attracted a large crowd. A spark to the
fete was added with announcement of
names of the lucky draw winners by our
director sir, Mr. Hardeep Bakshi .In all it
was a great day for the school.
ACTIVITIES AT GLANCE (2016-17)
Earth Day Celebrations (18th to 23rd April '16)
The Earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the Earth. The Earth day is
celebrated to bring awareness among people to save earth and its environment from
being polluted. Students of grade I and II made beautiful charts on the theme “Green
Earth, Clean Earth. “They were shown a video depicting tips to conserve natural
resources. An inter Class English Poetry Recitation Competition on the topic ‘Save
Earth’ was held for classes IV and V. An Inter-Class Poster Making Competition on the
topic ‘My Beautiful Earth’ was conducted for Classes VI to VIII. The students of IX and X
expressed their feelings through self composed poems on the topic “Pollution”.
Labour Day Celebrations (30th April '16)
In recognition of the rights of the labours, SMPS
celebrated International Labour Day with great zeal. A
special assembly was conducted in honour of the
supporting staff of the school. As a token of gratitude
and appreciation towards their contribution to the
school, they were given sweets and gifts. A Fancy
Dress Competition for the Students of classes I to III
was organized with the theme “Our Helpers”.
‘Rangrezz’ by 94.3 My FM: 94.3 My FM organized a
Rangrezz competition on the topic ‘Swachh Hum, Swasth
Hum’. It covered 17 cities and more than 413 schools
participated. The drawings of two of our students - Mahima
Doshi and Teena Dangi of class IX were selected for the
Annual calendar.
Hair Braiding Competition (11th May '16)
There are many interesting braiding techniques to make
every head unique. Keeping up with innovative ideas
Seedling conducted this creative activity at Interclass
level for Classes VII and VIII. The girls showed tremendous
talent in displaying the art of hair braiding. Ananya Purohit st
and Manasveet Kaur of VIII B secured 1 position.
A Session with Grandmaster Sri Ram Jha
A Camp with International Grandmaster Sri Ram Jha was organized on 5th May where the students had an interactive session and learnt the key steps of Chess from the Grandmaster. Their excitement knew no bounds to meet him.
Mother’s Day Activity (8th May'16)
God could not be everywhere, so he created mother. To felicitate and
award mothers for their incredible contribution in making a good family,
Mother’s Day was celebrated on 8th May with dedication by the students
of S.M.P.S.
Educational Tour To Rishikesh - Mussoorie
An educational cum adventure tour for the students of classes VI – XII was organized to Rishikesh – Mussoorie from 15th to 22nd May. The
students got a chance to reconnect with nature and experience a number of adventurous and fun filled activities like rock climbing, trekking,
rappelling, camp fire, water rafting etc. In all it was an exciting and enriching experience for the students.
Summer Camp at Seedling
Holidays give a break to the students from their routine and
help them to refresh themselves. Keeping in mind to make
holidays exciting a training camp was organised at Seedling
from 12th May to 1st June which focused on Fitness and
athletic development. Under the guidance of trained coaches
the Seedlities participated with full zeal & enthusiasm and
learned the basic skills required to play games like Cricket,
Basket ball, Football along with the Kit Fit Programme
sponsored by Kooh Sports.

Our Young Trekkers (7th April '16)
Trekking has plenty of perks: nice views, fresh air, and the
sounds and smells of nature. Spending time outdoors
increases attention spans and creative problem-solving skills,
surplus of trees, sunshine and fresh air contributes to this
creativity boost in trail blazers.
Connecting With Their Roots (9th April ' 2016)
Visit to a farm was an eye opener for our city bred children. They were exposed to a whole new world of
farming – right from sowing of seeds to harvesting of crops. Plucking fresh vegetables, climbing up a
‘machan ’ to having lunch under the shade of trees was an unforgetful experience.

ACADEMIC SESSION 2016-17.

Trip to MC Donald's (22nd April '16)
What better way to teach the students to
handle money than to let them place their
own order and make payment.
Earth Day (18th April '16)
Go Green ! was the slogan for the C.I.E. students on Earth Day. There was a discussion on Global Warming and the students surprised us with their awareness and suggested various ways as to how they could contribute to save the earth like using LED lights, switching off all the lights and fans before leaving the room, planting trees and walking instead of using cars for short distances. Planting saplings in used plastic bottles was a lesson in recycling and a small step towards saving the environment.

Yummy Sundae (23rd April '16)
Our young chefs at Seedling The World School tried their hands at dishing up delicious
sundae. They put scoops of ice cream in glasses and enjoyed dressing it with various
fruits and chocolate chips. At the end they all had ‘A Yummy Sundae Party!’
Educational Trip To The Post Ofce (25th April '16)
Educational trips give students the chance to build closer ties with their c lassmates , exper ience new environments and give children the o p p o r t u n i t y f o r m e a n i n g f u l educational experiences. From their trip to the post office the students learnt about the different services rendered by the post office. The children were amazed to learn about the journey of a letter, how they are collected , sorted and delivered.
Helping Hands (1st May '16)
On 1st May the school paid honour to the unsung heroes who
work the whole day long to make our lives comfortable. The
C.I.E. children put up a fancy dress show where they came
dressed in "Our Helpers" costumes. Aarav Manish dressed
as a farmer secured 1st position. Anik Singh as Chef
secured 2nd position and Darshan Doshi dressed as a
milkman was ranked 3rd. All other students were awarded
certificates.
Mother’s Day Celebration (8th May '16)
Mothers are the sweetest gifts of God. There is no
way we can really thank our mother for all she does
for us. To show their love and express their gratitude
for their mother, the C.I.E. students made photo
frames and wrote letters of appreciation which were
posted to their home address by the school.
SEEDLING (NURSERY BRANCH) 2015-2016
Little Seedilites Run For Health (7th April,2016)
The little Seedilites were excited to run for health in the vicinity of their
school with their teachers and classmates. The students were informed
that how vital it is to have good health and the tips to maintain it.
Magic Show In The Campus
A magic show was organized on 18th
April,16 which took the children to the
world of magic. The magician with his
numerous tricks left the tiny tots
mesmerized. The children witnessed
an amazing magic show which
sometimes baffled them and at times
cheered them.
Fun Time At Mc Donald's
Field trips are always a source of pleasure and great
excitement for the little ones. A visit to Mc Donald's was
organized on 21st & 22nd April,16. The children enjoyed
the outing, relished the mouthwatering snacks and had
fun with their classmates and teachers
Seedling Nursery Celebrates Yellow Day on 26th April,16
It was a visual delight to see the school dressed in different shades of yellow .The students brought
yellow objects to talk about in the assembly and had yellow fruits in their tiffin. Later on the children
indulged in collage activity pertaining to the theme.

The 14th Annual Day “Bedazzle” was a mega event wherein the
participation of the children was cent percent.The students of Prep
presented an interesting play on the Panchtantra tale “The Ungrateful
Man”.The dance performance by the little ones was a delight to watch. The
fabulous costumes ,the stage decoration ,the scintillating music and the
awesome performances bedazzled the spectators
Annual Sports Day (12th Dec '15)
Sports Day was a mega event with all fanfare of costumes,
props, highlighted tracks and decorations, a visual delight
for the spectators. The Sports meet was declared open by
the lighting of the torch and unfurling the school flag by the
chief guest. The tinytots presented fabulous drills and
actively participated in the fun races.
