hygienicum is an Austrian compe-

tence center for food safety and in-

dustrial hygiene. The combination of

experience at the company level and

expertise in the areas of laboratory

services, pest control, and consulting

INSTITUTE OF FOrENSIC MEDICINE

Institute of Forensic Medicine, as an

educational, scientific and operation-

al and medical institution, operates in

the field of forensic medicine and rep-

resents the highest ethical and deon-

tological authority in the country. They

work in the field of toxicology, alcohol-

ometry, medical criminology and hae-

matology, while an important part is

also their research activity.

The Slovenian Environment Agency is

a body of the Ministry of the Environ-

ment and Spatial Planning. Its mission

is to monitor, analyse and forecast

natural phenomena and processes in

the environment, and to reduce natu-

ral threats to people and property. The

Agency performs expert, analytical,

regulatory and administrative tasks

related to the environment at the na-

tional level.

SLOvENIAN NATIONAL BUILDINg AND CIvIL ENgINEErINg INSTITUTE

ZAG Ljubljana is Slovenia’s national

building and civil engineering institute.

It was founded by a decree, promul-

gated by the Government of the Re-

public of Slovenia into a governmen-

tal research and testing institute. The

Institute is an independent, impartial

and non-profit organization, which

fulfils all the requirements of the EEC

Council Directive No. 89/106 regarding

approval bodies which carry out the

testing and attestation of conformity

of construction products.

TAB was established in 1965 as a sub-

sidiary of Lead Mine Mežica Holding in

a region where different lead activities

are more than 350 years old. Nowa-

days, TAB is producing a wide range

of lead acid flooded, VRLA AGM and

VRLA Gel batteries in three modern

factories with approximately 900 em-

ployees on three different locations.

TAB high quality batteries are known

worldwide, especially in Europe, Asia

and America.

NATIONAL FOrENSIC LABOrATOrY

The National Forensic Laboratory is an

independent organisational unit of the

General Police Directorate. It was es-

tablished to carry out examinations of

material traces caused by criminal and

minor offences and interpret examina-

tion results for the police and judicial

authorities. The NFL uses over 100 dif-

ferent methods in the field of biological,

chemical, physical and dactyloscop-

ic examinations and examinations of

documents, handwriting, money, pho-

tographs and videos.
