distinctive new LANARK sample box with these four latest introductions, “Barista,” “Entourage,” “Montague” and “Rio.”

This selection of patterns adheres to LANARK Wallcovering’s long-standing attention to detail in design and execution, as

well as to offer an ongoing flow of fresh wallcovering options to the discriminating specifier. And LANARK Wallcovering

blends these diverse and changing aesthetic requirements with long-lasting quality and easy maintenance.

Barista > “Barista” is another superb example of our continuing quest

for alternate and world-class sources of design inspiration

and creativity.

An enticing twist on a simple theme, “Barista” takes a classic

stripe to a higher level. Fine horizontal slivers of metallic ink

are delicately stacked to create random width vertical stripes.

A background spatter balances the spaces between each

stripe and a delicate horizontal emboss is the perfect

complement to the design.

The palette for ‘Barista’ was blended by LANARK Wallcovering

stylist, Kathy Wisniski, who shares these thoughts regarding

her rich assortment of colors…

“Just like there are many layers of flavor found in one roast

of coffee, our ‘Barista’ color palette is complex and deep.

The total tonal experience is both smooth and bright, where

warm hues contrast with cool pearls and a bouquet of

balance emerges. Gold, copper and silver foils highlight the

foreground while the supporting texture in the background

adds varietal nuances of value. Shades like a buttery Café

au Lait and a carmelly Royal Rum work alongside beautifully

with a chocolaty Espresso brown and an herbal French Press

grey. The lights are just as intense and full of body. From a

clean Tarrazu neutral and fresh Crema beige, the tints are

determined, distinct and discernible. The ‘Barista’ palette is a

color assemblage that has been expertly blended and is full

of invigorating balance. Like a coffee honed to exactness, let

our new ‘Barista’ design be your go-to solution for all you

interior needs.”

< Entourage

“Originated from the French word entourer, ‘Entourage’

means to surround or entour around something or someone

of importance. To surround you, our ‘Entourage’ design is

an exquisite interpretation of a silk couture fashion textile.

Inspired by runway designs that feature complex weaves

and metallic silk fringing, I created ‘Entourage’ as a fresh

new sense of opulence for the walls. By reflecting and

highlighting fine strands of light within the design,

‘Entourage’ is delicate in its refinement. Paired with a subtle

handcrafted and woven texture, ‘Entourage’ is layered with

depth. Creating some surefire flashbulb appeal, our

‘Entourage’ design is the true great star.

The ‘Entourage’ color palette is an ode to classical hues,

refined luminosity and subtle chroma combinations. In the

true spotlight is the understated contrast of metallic

pigments and fine-spun inks. A model palette for all

environments the ‘Entourage’ color collection is polished,

versatile and enduring. Ethereal richness can be seen in all

shades. From a light and cool Crushed Ice and the warm

glow of Sunset Blvd to a deep and mysterious Vibe to the

aged elegance of a Rum Noir, the range of colors are

complex yet focused. Down to earth yet luxe, let our

Montague >

“In the Shakespearean play, “Romeo and Juliet,” the main character Romeo is

from the House of Montague. He was passionate, charismatic and dynamic. Our

new design, aptly named ‘Montague,’ is just that. A multicolored and layered silk

texture with a strong breadth and stratified length. Softly anodized with a

platinized sheen, ‘Montague’ is vivacious and alluring. With the merging of both

old and new, digital and handcraft, ‘Montague’ is both a timeless and a cutting

edge creation. Fine cubistic pixels combined with a raw and textural handmade

silk help create a new, fresh and modern composition. Poetic and vibrant,

‘Montague’ is an elegant and courtly balance between beauty and passion.

The ‘Montague’ palette was inspired by natural dyes, lustrous minerals and

ancient Persian embossed cloths. Richly absorbing the wavelengths of light

through texture, the ‘Montague’ compilation radiates complexity. Influenced by

plant sources such as roots, berries and bark, the core of the palette is lush,

rustic and minimally graceful. Light hues such as cotton-white Dew and a

safflower cream Nightingale, are highlighted lightly with aluminum and calcium

inks. Deeper shades such as a forest juniper Verona and a black walnut

Masquerade are inspired by botanical pigments derived from acacia trees,

hematite and rare grape vines. The mid-tones are numerous and abounding.

From a merino soft Sonnet and a silver luxe Dynasty to a carmine derived Siena

and sagebrush green Orchard, the choices are alluring. With ‘Montague,’ age-old

printing techniques meet upscale chic, creating a colorful range that is both

harmonic and energetic in its variety.”

< Rio

“Created from encaustic wax and paint, the ‘Rio’ emboss was handcrafted in my

studio. Initially inspired by woodcarvings, the ‘Rio’ design is an ode to the natural

beauty of the Brazilian rainforests and the beautiful and rare trees that inhabit them.

Printed strias of vertical bark meet the rustic outdoors with depth of character.

Stratified, distinct and unique, the look is authentic with a modern twist. This

chiseled and grooved pattern is just as dramatic and intriguing as the city it is

named after. Just like ‘Rio,’ the electrifying spirit of our design is infectious in its

individuality. An exclusive gem, dramatic and striking, ‘Rio’ is an earthy and wild

texture appropriate for all your interior needs.

The ‘Rio’ palette is a celebration of clean neutrals and rich clear hues. Established to

reflect the natural beauty found in Brazil, the colors are warm and pure. Reflecting

the delicate shades of nature, the ‘Rio’ colors are feathery and ethereal. Tints of

white are very important here with numerous interpretations and shifts in value.

From a nutty Cassava and a cool Mirin to a neutral Caltalpa and quartz-inspired

Satine, these whitewashed wood tones are modern and contemporary. Pops of

uniqueness can also be seen throughout the palette. With a “red like an ember”

brazil wood Carnival hue and an oxide black Ironbark to a botanical Eucalyptus and a

sugarcane Butternut, the shades are true and luminous. A carnival of color with a

nod to the natural let our ‘Rio’ design be a celebration of beauty, excitement and

joy.”
